It’s with the deepest grief we share the passing of our friend, bandmate and brother Raul Malo on December 8th, 2025 at the age of 60.

Anyone with the pleasure of being in Raul’s orbit knew that he was a force of human nature, with an infectious energy. Over a career of more than three decades entertaining millions around the globe, his towering creative contributions and unrivaled, generational talent created the kind of multicultural American music reaching far beyond America itself.

While his spirited performances garnered a massive & loyal following, and his powerful songwriting and musicianship earned multiple Grammy, ACM, and CMA awards, it was his lifelong commitment to the preservation of the multi-lingual American musical repertoire of which he was most proud, making history in 2020 with the first album ever to debut at the top of both the Latin Pop and Folk-Americana charts. It was this commitment, along with his steadfast championing of music education as an inspiration for every child across America and throughout the world, for which Raul was honored with the Americana Music Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award, and the National Music Council of the United States’ American Eagle Award.

Though his earthly body may have passed, Raul’s spirit will live on forever in heaven, and here on earth through the music, joy, and light he brought forth. His contributions to American and Latin music will be everlasting, as his songs and voice touched fans and fellow artists around the world.

Raul is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Betty; sons Dino, Victor, and Max, mother Norma, sister Carol, and Mavericks bandmates Paul Deakin, Eddie Perez, and Jerry Dale McFadden.

The family thanks everyone for their love & support, and asks for privacy at this time.

Omg 🥹 I met a follower and her little girl today and they were SO CUTE! My husband is still sick, so I was out buying him some essentials, and I hear, “Bestie?!”

I asked her her 7 year old daughter, “what are you shopping for?” And she told me that her mom brought her shopping for a school holiday party. They are doing a White Elephant (Secret Santa) type gift exchange at school. Her mom said, “tell Misha what we are getting.”

This sweet little angel said, “I asked mom if we could come get extra presents in case somebody’s family can’t afford one.” 😭😭😭😭😭😭 I said, “oh wow! That’s so thoughtful!” She agreed haha, and told me she didn’t want anyone to feel bad if they couldn’t participate.

Restored my holiday faith in humanity!!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

I haven’t been posting much lately because I needed a break from everything I’ve been dealing with. I’m finally starting to feel some relief from it all, and I want to focus on the future of the channel and where things are headed.

I wish I would’ve stepped away sooner. I started feeling responsible for Dakota and Felicity and just wanted to make sure they were safe before cutting things off. I still truly care very much about both of them and I wish them the best of luck moving forward. I don’t plan on creating any new videos with either of them and I’ve told them both that directly.

Meeting them has also allowed me to be more educated on what people have to deal with and how they act under certain conditions, and it’s made me more aware and cautious for future interactions.

I also want to apologize for not posting more updates about the cat lady I’ve been helping. Most of our interactions and hangouts have been off camera recently, so there hasn’t been much to share publicly.

New content is on the way and it will be similar to what you’re used to seeing from me. Excited to get back into it.

K9 Bullet update!!

Bullet is the Morgan County K9
knocked unconscious and beaten yesterday during a break-in at Patton Lake. The sheriff has not released the identity of the suspect.

Bullet is partners with Deputy Tolan and has lived with the deputy and his wife for 3 years and is part of their family.

The Tolans say:

Bullet spent last night at the vet, today he had a CT scan and saw a Neurologist/Dentist. He is neurologically intact.

Bullet does have a fractured frontal sinus bone and 2 broken teeth. For now, they want to let the frontal sinus bone heal on its own while the vets monitor him closely. His two broken teeth will be fixed with a root canal in a few weeks.

He is not home yet, he’s staying another night at the vet for continued monitoring. Hopefully our boy will be home soon 💙
