Who did it best?

The American Street Artist Keith Haring created a visual iconography that remain universally recognizable to this day. His colorful symbolism and figures are both commentary and reflection on current events and existential life questions.

Our team tried to recreate some scenes of his vibrant silkscreen print, up for auction during our Evening Sale on 12 June! How did we do?

Enigmatic, menacing, seductive and mystical:

Created in 1915, „Drei Frauen“ captures Nolde at the height of his expressionist period. With glowing colours, simplified forms, and an almost mystical atmosphere, the work explores themes of mystery, attraction, and emotional intensity.

Inspired in part by the impressions and memories of his South Seas journey, Nolde transformed diverse cultural influences into a highly charged visual language. In „Drei Frauen“, colour becomes emotion and form becomes expression, resulting in a work that remains as powerful today as it was over a century ago.

This work, together with several other works by Nolde, will be offered in our upcoming Auction on June 12/13, 2026 in Munich.

Emil Nolde
Drei Frauen, 1915.
Oil on canvas
Estimate: € 500,000 - 700,000

Atmospheric landscapes, intimate interiors, and shimmering plays of light ✨

Few artists captured mood and fleeting moments quite like Lesser Ury. Whether in softly illuminated landscapes or quiet scenes of everyday life, his works are defined by a remarkable sensitivity to light, color, and atmosphere.

It’s not for nothing he was known to be one of the precursors of Impressionism.

The intimate domestic scene in ‚Die Geschwister, Interieur mit Kindern‘ from 1883 bears a particularly fascinating and complex history and provenance, tracing back to the growing NS regime in pre-war Germany in the 1930s. Want to learn more about it? Discover the full catalogue via the link in bio⬆️

We are pleased to present these selected works by Lesser Ury in our upcoming Day Sale on June 13, 2026 in Munich 🔨

A testament to nature’s duality, captured in every brushstroke: Emil Nolde’s Meer (D) doesn’t just paint the sea—it is the sea in all its wild glory. 🌊✨

Where gentle blues whisper secrets to the shore and stormy grays crash with untamed force, Nolde’s brush transforms color into pure elemental power. Part of his legendary 1930 Sylt series, this work strips the ocean down to its raw essence, proving that sometimes, the most profound art is the one that feels like it’s happening right now—before your eyes.

Up for auction during our Evening Sale on 12 June, 2026!
