Der Augenfleckbärbling (Rasbora dorsiocellata) ist für mich einer dieser Fische, die man leicht unterschätzt – bis man genauer hinschaut. Der feine Kupferton im Körper, das intensiv blaue Auge und dieser markante schwarze Fleck in der Rückenflosse wirken im Makro fast grafisch klar.
Im Layout bringen sie eine ruhige, elegante Bewegung ins Becken. Kein hektisches Verhalten, sondern sanftes Schwimmen im Schwarm – besonders schön in gut bepflanzten Aquarien mit weichem Licht. Genau dort entfalten sie ihre ganze Wirkung.
Was ich an dieser Art besonders mag: Sie drängt sich nicht auf. Erst auf den zweiten Blick erkennt man die Details – transparente Flossen, feine Schuppenstruktur, ein subtiler metallischer Schimmer im richtigen Winkel.
Und genau das macht für mich den Reiz aus: Das Aquarium lebt von diesen kleinen, stillen Momenten.

In a layout, they add calm and elegant movement. No hectic behavior — just smooth schooling dynamics, especially beautiful in well-planted tanks with soft lighting. That’s where they truly shine.
What I appreciate most: they don’t demand attention. Only on a second look do you notice the transparent fins, fine scale texture, and that subtle metallic glow.
