Artistic Director & Choreographer: Stéphen Delattre The EDP helps this group of young talented dancers to transit into the professional dance world, with a specific development of their individual strengths and give feedback on their weaknesses.
• In the EDP, the young dancers benefice daily of classical training, including working time with the Delattre Dance Company (DDC).
• With the EDP, the y
oung dancers have the chance to work directly with international choreographers, artistic directors and different guests teachers, including Stéphen Delattre (artistic director and choreographer of the DDC).
• The EDP guaranties to help the young dancers to structure their portfolio for auditions, including CV but also give them the possibility to work directly with professional photographers and cameramen. Individual photo shooting and recording will be organised singly for each young dancer.
• Stéphen Delattre himself choreographs individual solo/variation for each young dancer. Those creations will be able to be presented for auditions, competitions or events such as Galas or Festivals.
• The EDP proposes a daily detailed schedule including hours joining the work with the company (classical trainings and learning part of the repertoire) and separate hours of individual care and focus for each dancer. The formation of the EDP includes also point shoes work in classes and rehearsals.
• The EDP invites regularly international choreographers to create for and with the dancers.
• The EDP offers a workshop with professional Master make-up artist of the State Theatre to teach the young dancers how to make-up and fix hair for stage.
• The EDP provides a professional physiotherapist to take care of them in case of need but also to teach them how to take care of themselves, by showing them strengths trainings or even how to fix physio tapes...
• The EDP includes also a Fitness inscription for free for the full season, including sport machines, different live trainings.
• The EDP provides a professional nutritionist to take care of them in case of need but also to teach them how to take care of themselves, by alimenting themselves in the best way.
• The EDP proposes a very mix repertoire including Delattre’s style as main choreographic language, but also a mix of modern/contemporary repertoire and traditional classical variations.
• The EDP includes the possibility to the parents to join the trainings and rehearsals anytime, and to follow the evolution of the formation.
• The EDP helps the young dancers concerning the hosting situation by guiding them to find a place (apartment sharing options).
• The EDP offers to the young dancers the possibility to develop improvisation skills and their own choreographic skills, by joining choreographic workshops with Stéphen Delattre himself.
• Finally at the end of the season, the EDP proposes to the young dancers their own show. This production is a stage experience reflecting the work achieved during the full season, including the performance of the worked repertoire from Delattre and guests. On this day, other directors and choreographers are invited to see the show and can eventually invite some of the young dancers for a stage or even select them for a future collaboration...
