Thank you for you Attention EAA2026!

Presenting the SIRIS Project on such a massive platform was a true highlight for us. Sharing our work with a full room-and discussing our results in an inspiring discussion reminded us why we do what we do.

A special thank you to Aura Piccioni for organizing this especially moving session in memory of Clemente Marconi.

Huge thanks to the organizers, our fellow researchers, and everyone who stopped by to connect. On to the next chapter!

🌃 The SIRIS Project at LNDW 2026 🌃

What a fantastic evening!

During this year’s Long Night of the Sciences, visitors had the opportunity to explore the exciting results of our recent excavation campaigns through a variety of interactive stations.

🏺 From current research findings and archaeological artefacts to their scientific analysis and 3D-printed replicas of selected finds that could be handled and examined up close, archaeology was brought to life.

📸 Digital animations and photographic displays also provided fascinating insights into the excavation process, illustrating how archaeological fieldwork is carried out and what kinds of knowledge can be gained from it.

🎨 Our youngest visitors were especially enthusiastic: inspired by ancient models, children were invited to paint small ceramic vessels and unleash their creativity.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who visited our stand, engaged in inspiring conversations, and shared our enthusiasm for archaeological research. We are already looking forward to the next Long Night of the Sciences!
