Throwback to 2020 'Milky Way Sky'

This was a spontaneous painting that I did mostly in one long session. I love how that sky came out, despite it veering quite a lot from my original vision. Sometimes you just have to let the Muse take you where it will 🎨

Alrighty then, here it is! Thomaskirche Acrylic on canvas 50x70cm. I am exhausted, but it was worth it. here I come!

Today I will be mostly working on these little towers on the newly painted rooftop on the Thomaskirche piece that I am taking to NdK. German architecture never ceases to inspire me. Why on Earth this roof needs miniature towers with windows, I do not know, but I love them! Just the basic colour down so far, and I am waiting for it today before adding detail.

WIP So this is where I am at now with the big Leipzig piece for the Art Night in September in Leipzig. This is quite out of my comfort zone as I am not used to painting with and honestly the layering is wearing me out. I will press on, though, almost undeterred 😅😬 and update again when it's done!.
