Ek I Ekman - two pieces, one evening at the Deutsche Oper in Berlin with the Staatsballett Berlin.
Two very different and fantastic choreographies by Mats Ek (A SORT OF) and Alexander Ekmann (CACTI). An evening of ballet absolutely worth seeing at the Deutsche Oper in Berlin. Both pieces live from a powerful and often humorous choreography and from the impressive dancers of the Staatsballett Berlin.
If at all possible, definitly go and see!
As a photographer, I was also thrilled by the wonderful and very skilful lighting. Light Design: Ellen Ruge (A SORT OF) and Tom Visser (CACTI)
It was great to photograph the rehearsal on 15 February 2023. Here CACTI by Alexander Ekmann.

Die beeindruckende Hélène Verry

Ich weiß nicht, wieviele Jahre ich auf dieses Shooting gewartet habe …
Zum Glück habe ich Hélène Very vor kurzem nach der Vorstellung von leer | dicht | leer im Tollhaus getroffen und wir haben spontan etwas ausgemacht. Warum weiß ich nicht, vielleicht waren wir beide etwas „aufgekratzt“ wegen der Eindrücke von dem Stück von Sarah und Dominik.
Wie auch immer, wir haben und zu einem extrem vielfältigen (und lustigen) Shooting im Studio vom Ballettverein Karlsruhe getroffen.
Mal schauen, wann und wo ich diesen kleinen Fundus nun zeigen werde - und ich bin gespannt, was Hélène damit machen wird.
