Brachial guitar lines meet melancholic, filigree melodies, shaken by poignant, touching cries from an endless abyss. Resolutely we step into an approaching darkness.

He is a pleasure to work with and always brings the quality we are looking for. Busy times! Unfortunately I was not present at Partysan open air and a lot of folks missed me there.
But I used the time to mix the upcoming Uncaved album (very interesting techdeathmetal from Switzerland with quite some classic oldschool vibes though) last week.
Currently I am sweating like hell working out the drums for the upcoming Krilloan (Sweden) album! Fortunately Klas sent me that airy power shirt for that. Thanks a lot! 😎 So I recently set up my beloved Cube-Personal Drums custom kit equipped with Samsun Cymbals. As you all know: This kit is dope s**t and it is always a pleasure to play it, though the music is fast, hard and challenging.
Beside that I am working on the mix of some very great songs for (USA) - I am not sure if I am allowed to share additional info regarding that here ATM - but I never heard stuff like that before - I am sure I can share more soon.. So my days (as well as the nights) should have some more hours!! 🤘
By the way: I made the new Torturized album "Aftermath" some time ago which is now available! 🤘😃

I am really looking forward to pound my drums fast and hard for the next album of Krilloan from Sweden, this will both fun and challenging - and a good warm up for mixing and mastering it afterwards! I already did a deeper check of first song some time ago as well as I listened to the demos - and I remember my mood raised instantly by 666% 🤘🤘🤘😃
The fuse has been lit! All the production on the songs for our coming album is done and I just sent the first song to this happy guy to check out in order to lay the plan for what´s to come.
This is Christoph Brandes and I´m happy as h**l to have him onboard! Christoph will be playing drums on the album and handle the mixing and mastering at his Iguana Studios, Germany. A truly amazing guy and I´m confident that he is the one to take us over the finish line later this year.
I really love what he did on the last Evertale-album and I decided to reach out when I thought about who was going to do the work on the album. Gladly we hit if of at once and he joined our quest for metaaaaaaal 🤘
You will hear more from him the following months but for now, its Friday and beer time!

How great is that - to have so much pleasure with a treasure in the beginning of the week!

For the third album, which appears under his own name, Goldsmith has strengthened himself with experienced musicians from the scene and delivers an album with a new line-up, which stylistically combines his most formative musical experiences. As you might know, some of the most awesome people on this planet and I traveled to Thailand recently - having my gigantic, beautiful, all new and fully custom-build drumkit, handmade by Cube-Personal Drums Germany in our luggage.
The reason was to record this drumkit in the beautiful, tropical halls of Karma Sound Studios in Bang Sare, Thailand.
It's fantastic wooden room gave me an awesome working space recording and producing this 120GB NCW compressed Virtual Drumkit beside beeing inspired by this wonderful place in general enjoying the hot summer feeling - escaped from these dark and cold German December days.

Well, of course posting live footage from the recent THRON show in Turbinenhalle Oberhausen is not really "Iguana Studios content" - though I decided to share it here as well- since it's a big part of my life, work and passion to perform in front of a crowd, trying to transfer music, feelings, sound and emotions and all that to people. So basically it is quite similar to what I do here in the studio all the time, but when doing records it is of course different and maybe more difficult since there is no interaction with the crowd/listeners, so you have to "be all together" by yourself when creating an album: Artist, producer, tech-nerd/engineer AND listener. It is important to not focus on the tech stuff only, but of course being top notch here is nothing bad :) Since it seems to be impossible to upload multiple videos in one post on a business page (Facebook?!) I quickly edited a short collage from these 3 snipped I recently uploaded on my personal account.
