Tonight we dance in a very special place: We are part of the benefit gala "Intermezzo XI" and perform today in the main ballroom in the city hall of Hamburg. With us are the Bundesjugendballett and students of the School of the Hamburg Ballet. For many years it has been a highly appreciated Hamburg tradition that the association "Freunde des Ballettzentrums e. V." organizes a benefit dinner, the donations of which benefit the work of our ballet school. We are looking forward to the evening!

Only one more sleep until our revival of "Préludes CV". John Neumeier describes this ballet, created in 2003, as one of his most important ballets. A piece that does not try to tell a story, but lets the dance speak for itself, resulting in a choreographic sketchbook in two parts. The music, 24 Preludes for Piano and Cello and 24 Preludes for Piano and Violin, is by Lera Auerbach. Performances at the Staatsoper Hamburg on October 27, 28, 31 & November 2

with Madoka Sugai and Félix Paquet ✨ This Thursday (October 27) we bring back "Préludes CV". The ballet to music by Lera Auerbach was created solely from the inspiration of the small cast chamber music and the personality of the dancers involved. As in the world premiere in 2003, the composer Lera Auerbach will again be heard as a pianist. She will be joined by cellist Ani Aznavoorian, violinists Anton Barakhovsky / Vadim Gluzman (Oct. 31, Nov. 2) and pianist Angela Yoffe.

Bitte lassen Sie John N. wissen ...
International day of dance, what an appropriate day to return to work. There could be no better way to celebrate. Congratulations to dancers and staff
Always fantastic and extraordinary.
