Hi friends, how is it going? I didn't shared much new stuff last year... But as you know me, that doesn't mean that I did not create a lot of new stuff :) I am happy to present you a new project I am working on since last october.

I shot this pictures already in 2012 but took a lot of time to start with the retouch. I knew it wouldn't be easy and it would be very timeintensive and challenging handwork to put the photos in that kind of mood what i had in my mind. At least it was a good decission to wait with the retouch until now, because I have learned a lot during the last 6 years and now I am much more able to put the different exposures together just as I want. All Handmade using photoshop and a pen tablet.
Always a nice feeling when I see the final result of a picture in front of me. Specially after having it for so long in my mind before.Hope you like it as much as I do :) Tokyo is an awesome place!

Letztes Wochenende vor der Jobmesse Hamburg (12./13.01.2019)

2019 hat begonnen und bis vor man sich versieht ist man schon wieder mittendrin. Trotzdem schaue ich zur Jahreswende gerne zurück auf das letzte Jahr und was es alles mit sich gebracht hat. 2018 war für mich wieder ein unglaublich Erlebnisreiches Jahr und ich möchte mich an dieser Stelle ganz herzlich bei allen bedanken die daran teil hatten!
Mein größtes Projekt des letzten Jahres begann eigentlich schon ende 2017 als ich mir nach fast 10 jähriger Pause wieder ein Musikprogramm auf meinem Rechner installierte. Schon lange hatte ich den Wunsch zu meinen Videos wieder eigene Musik produzieren zu können, aber der Fokus lag die letzten Jahre deutlich mehr darauf mich in meinem Beruf weiter zu entwickeln und mit Fotos und Videos mein Lebensstandbein auf zu bauen. Nachdem ich nun 8 Jahre selbstständig bin und eine gewisse Stabilität eingekehrt ist habe ich also Zeit und freien Kopf dafür gehabt mich einer weiteren Leidenschaft zu widmen.
Zeitgleich hat mich der liebe Laurent eingeladen beim „Dance Against The Machine“ Projekt mit zu machen. Gemeinsam mit einem tollem Team haben wir dieses Jahr 3 Partys im Gängeviertel, und im Oktober unser bisher größtes Event auf der MS Stubnitz organisiert. Bei „Dance Against The Machine“ Partys trifft, mit Maschienen produzierte, Musik auf Visuals. Und später am Abend folgen meist noch Dj-Sets. Bei der ersten Veranstaltung habe ich noch aufgelegt, beim zweiten mal kamen schon die ersten meiner eigenen Tracks mit ins Set und beim dritten mal habe ich das erste mal seit über 10 Jahren mit eigenen Werken für 30 Minuten auf der Bühne gestanden. Auf der MS Stubnitz waren es dann 60 Minuten Programm mit eigener Musik und eigenen Visuals. Ein kleiner Traum wurde war. Danke allen beteiligten für die schöne Zeit! Ich habe viel gelernt und viel Motivation gesammelt diese Show nach und nach weiter auszubauen.

2019 has started and before you know it is already in the middle. Nevertheless, at this time, I like to look back at the last year and what it has brought. 2018 was an incredibly eventful year for me again and at this point I would like to sincerely thank all who participated!
My biggest project of last year actually started at the end of 2017 when I started again with producing music. I have made music before but had a break for nearly ten years. For a long time I had the desire to be able again to produce my own music, specially for my own videos.
But the focus in recent years has been much more on further developing my profession with photos and videos. Now that I have been self-employed for 8 years and a certain stability has come, I have time and a clear head for dedicating myself to another passion.
At the same time I was invited to join the „Dance Against The Machine“-project. Together we organized 4 parties this year. 3 in the "Gängeviertel" and in October our biggest event on the "MS Stubnitz". At Dance Against The Machine parties you can enjoy self made electro music combined with self made Visuals. And later in the evening mostly DJ sets followed. At the first event I played a DJ-Set. The second time I already mixed first of my own tracks into the set and started to combine the music with my videos and the third time I stood with just my own works for 30 minutes on the stage. On the MS Stubnitz it was then 60 minutes program with own music and own visuals. A small dream came true. Thank you all for the nice time! I learned a lot and gained a lot of motivation to gradually expand this show.

In 2014, I spent five weeks in Hong Kong.
After being there once in 2008 for one week,
I always wanted to come back with more time to make a photoproject about this city. I started studying the city half a year before the Trip using Google Earth. And I have created a map with the must have photo spots. I changed the accomodation every few days. That's how I got to know the different parts of the city well and also a lot of nice people, since the Hosts were mainly private persons, who provided a room in their apartment. The selection of accommodations went according to the following criteria: view, location, sympathy.
In this 5 weeks I was as good as every day from early to late or early again on the way to explore the city and make nice photos. I've visited the spots from my map and captured everything I discovered. Most important for me, at every day, was to capture one perfect shot during my favourite light situation shortly after sunset, at a previously selected position. Around this spot, the hours before and after, I went around to explore the environment. Since I worked with the 5D Mark2, I also filmed a lot by the way. In this video I cut some of this footage together. But many shots also consist of photos that I shot in a row and used it to create timelapse recordings.

2017 hatte viele schöne Seiten (English text below)
Als erstes habe ich es endlich geschafft meine Webseite neu auf zu bauen. Und damit erstmals viele meiner aktuelleren Arbeiten der Welt präsentiert. Ich habe die vergangenen Jahre so viele Fotos geschossen, dass ich kaum hinterher kam alles zu sortieren und zu bearbeiten. Ich glaube es wird immer nur möglich sein die Spitze des Eisberges zu präsentieren. 2018 werden jedenfalls noch einige ältere und hoffentlich auch viele neue Bilder dazu kommen.
Auch zwei Videos, an denen ich seit längerem immer mal wieder weiter bastel, stehen kurz vor der Fertigstellung.

Im März habe ich mit Lenni und ca. 15 Jugendlichen zusammen den Kurzfilm Reunion für die VHS im Zuge des AMITIE youth contest 2017 erstellt. Thema war Integration, Menschenrechte und Entwicklung. Es wurde ein kleines Herzensprojekt und ich mag das Ergebniss sehr:

Im Mai durfte ich wieder beim Open House im Transit Lychen einige meiner Werke präsentieren. Ein wunderschönes Fest mit tollen Menschen, Kunst und Musik.

Und am Ende des Jahres gab es dann die Anek-Artflash Party and Gallery. Ein Mix aus Ausstellung und Party-Event mit Live Musik, Dj-Mix und Videoshow. Hier präsentierte ich viele Bilder und Videos der letzten Jahre zum ersten mal einem Publikum über die Grenzen meines Freundeskreises hinaus. Es war ein kleines aber rundum schönes Event. Und die Resonanz war durchweg positiv. Ich glaube das schönste was es auf der Welt gibt ist wenn Menschen zusammen kommen, eine gute Zeit haben und sich gegenseitig inspirieren und inspirieren lassen. Und zwischen durch mal auf dem Dance-Floor zu den meditativen Electro-Beats gemeinsam abflashen.

2017 had many beautiful sides.
First, I finally managed to rebuild my website. And for the first time presenting many of my more recent works to the world. I have shot so many photos in the past few years that I hardly came to sort and edit everything. I think it will always be possible to present just the tip of the iceberg. In any case, some older and hopefully many new pictures will be added in 2018. Also, two videos, which I have been working on again and again for some time, are about to be completed.

In March I have made, together with Lenni and about 15 young people, the short film Reunion for the VHS in the course of the AMITIE youth contest 2017. The topic was integration, human rights and development.

And at the end of the year there was the Anek-Artflash Party and Gallery. A mix of exhibition and party event with live music, DJ mix and video show. Here I presented many pictures and videos of the last years for the first time to an audience beyond the borders of my circle of friends. It was a small but all-round nice event. And the response was consistently positive. I believe the most beautiful thing in the world is when people come together, have a good time and let each other inspire and be inspired. And between, enjoying the moment on the dance floor to the meditative electro beats.
