🩶 Im so honoured to be part of this 🩶 Im not sure a lot of you now.. but I do started as a makeup artist. I was quite established too but Covid and pandemic came and changed things: in the world and in me too. Thats when I started to take Makeupbrutalism more seriously and it quickly became my job. In the last few years I started to turn away from content ( and online presence in general) and focused more on concepts- and started to exhibit my work in galleries... sometimes its related to Mbrut, sometimes it's not. I love it so so much but I rather look at it as a hobby, rather as a 'side hustle because I learned: not everything you enjoy should become your job! Right now Im working on something BIG. Something IM so extremely proud of and again... it's a different role. A beautiful next step which I cant wait to share with the world. I cannot talk about it now, but I promise its gonna be exciting 🩶 but while all these things happen, this beautiful reminder, this beautiful book by came along to remind me where all these things started 🩶 thank you for including me

UNLESS you're trying to be someone you're not. A perfect wing means nothing if it masks what you actually feel.

I gave myself an hour, and every time I felt the urge to pick my skin, I drew a line on my hand. By the end, I had over 137 lines.

Dermatillomania, or skin picking disorder, is a mental health condition where individuals compulsively pick, scratch, or squeeze their skin, often causing wounds, scars, or infections. The behavior can be focused (intentional) or automatic (unconscious) and is often triggered by stress, anxiety, or a perceived imperfection in the skin. People with dermatillomania may feel shame, guilt, or frustration about their inability to stop. It is classified as a body-focused repetitive behavior (BFRB) and can significantly impact mental health and quality of life.
