Cris Caine has been active as a musician until his late twenties and then life happened. Family and a steady 9 to 5 job did not leave much room for working as a musician anymore. But now he has the bug again and is on his way back to the stage and for the first time as a recording solo artist. Inspired by a visit of the wonderful city of Nashville, he released a single in summer 2016 with the titl

e. Beside recording with good friends in Berlin, famous session musicians Brent Mason (guitar) and Paul Franklin (pedal steel guitar) laid tracks for him. But his journey brought him back to his roots: Funk, Soul & Jazz. Last year he played electric guitar as part of the Baltic Soul Orchestra at the Baltic Soul Weekender #10. There he had the honour to play with top acts like e.g. Sister Sledge, Lenny Williams and CeCe Pen*ston. Right now he's in the middle of recording a 6 track mini album, which will be released end of 2017 and will build a bridge between classic funk & soul and modern influences. It's just the beginning. Big plans ahead...

But his journey brought him back to his roots: Funk, Soul & Jazz. In Spring 2016 he played electric guitar as part of the Baltic Soul Orchestra at the Baltic Soul Weekender #10. There he had the honour to play with top acts like e.g. Sister Sledge, Lenny Williams and CeCe Pen*ston. He has just released his 6 track mini album “Getting There”, which builds a bridge between classic funk & soul and modern influences. It's just the beginning. Big plans ahead...
