Last week we brought Michael Schumacher's 1994 Benetton F1 back to life again. The owner of the car did some runs on an airfield - to further run-in the engine after it's recent rebuild. And to have some fun.
All went well. For the run-in, the engine was still restricted to 8000rpm and 60% throttle. Great car! Looking forward to go full throttle soon.

In the last days we have seen many pictures and videos of the Benetton B194 – because these days it was the 25th anniversary that Michael Schumacher won his first F1 World Championship title in this car. Congratulations to Michael and hope to see you soon!

- Restoration of Michael’s B194 for the Michael Schumacher Private Collection (Motorworld Cologne)
- Full rebuild of a B194 Cosworth-Ford engine to the original 3,5 lt configuration
- Damon Hill running the B194 at the 2019 Goodwood Festival of Speed

We get involved in some truly amazing car and engine restoration projects at Modatek, including this one for RENNWERK, who have successfully returned Michael Schumacher's Benetton B194 back to it's championship-winning glory.
Months of hard work culminated in the car being driven at this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed by none other than Michael's 1994 arch-rival, Damon Hill.
Modatek were able to provide parts and technical consultancy to help Rennwerk restore and rebuild the Cosworth EC 3.5 litre engine back to its original specification, which was no mean feat considering the scarcity of parts.
We'd like to extend our congratulations to the team at Rennwerk for such amazing work and dedication!
