„Artikulationsprozesse“ ist ein Projekt mit 4 internationalen und weiteren Künstler*innen des PAE Aktionslabor in Köln-Kalk. Die Bewegung in unserer Wirbelsäule wird durch kleine knöcherne „Artikulationsprozesse“ an unseren Wirbeln gesteuert. So wie die Wirbelsäule unsere Bewegungen lenkt, so lenken unsere Körper, Materialien und Umwelt die Art und Weise, wie wir Prozesse artikulieren, die sich nur schwer in Sprache fassen lassen. Auf diese Weise schaffen die von den Künstler*innen präsentierten Werke mit Hilfe der Performance Kunst eine Reihe von Begegnungen zwischen Sprache und Bewegung.
Am Freitag stellen sich Kelvin Atmadibrata, Tara Fatehi, Eunjung Kim, melissandre varin und das Aktionslabor vor und präsentieren ihre Arbeiten.
Am Samstag werden ortsspezifische Solo Performances an oft übersehenen, aber leicht zugänglichen öffentlichen Orten gezeigt. Als Bricolage übersetzt Kelvin Erzählungen und erschafft Personifikationen, die auf RPGs (Role-playing video games) und Pop-Mythologien basieren. Tara beschäftigt sich mit Zweideutigkeit, Fehlübersetzung, Verspieltheit, Disjunktion und Unvollkommenheit. In Kims Performances geht es um den Prozess des Werdens und damit um die Entdeckung einer Handlungsfähigkeit außerhalb der Grenzen der sozialen Realität und der Stabilität der Identität. melissandre erforscht in ihren Arbeiten mit ungewöhnlichen künstlerischen Experimenten die transformative Verkörperung (sich an die uns innewohnende Ganzheit erinnern, sie fühlen, ihr gegenwärtig sein und sie heilen).
Das Projekt mündet am Sonntag in einer Gruppen Performance mit Künstler*innen vom PAE Aktionslabor. An allen drei Tagen findet abschließend eine Zusammenkunft im Naturfreundehaus statt, wo die Möglichkeit besteht in einen für das Publikum offenen Austausch zu treten.
„Durch das Projekt versuchen wir Verbindungen zu unseren gemeinsamen Verletzlichkeiten zu schaffen, indem wir die Prozessualität von Identitäten, Rollen und gesellschaftlichen Erwartungen erforschen. Wir hoffen, dass sich so Gespräche über Offenheit und fluide/q***re Prozesse eröffnen. Durch die Performance-Kunst lernen wir uns auf nonverbale Weise besser zu verstehen. Wir laden alle ein, den Performances beizuwohnen und an den Prozessen teilzuhaben.“

“Artikulationsprozesse” is a project involving 4 international and additional artists of the PAE Aktionslabor in Cologne-Kalk. Movement in our spine is guided by small bony “articulation processes” on our vertebrae. Like the spine guides our movements - our bodies, materials and environment guide the ways in which we articulate processes that are difficult to put into language.Thus the works presented by the artists use performance art to create a series of encounters between language and movement.
On Friday, Kelvin Atmadibrata, Tara Fatehi, Eunjung Kim, melissandre varin and the PAE Aktionslabor will introduce themselves and present their work at the Stadtteilbibliothek, Kalk.
On Saturday, they will present site-specific solo performances taking place in often overlooked but easily accessible public spaces in Kalk. Approached as bricolages, Kelvin translates narratives and recreates personifications based on RPGs (Role-playing video games) theories and pop mythologies. Tara engages with ambiguity, mistranslation, playfulness, disjunction, and unfinishedness. Kim’s performances centre on the process of becoming and with that it involves the discovery of a sense of agency outside of the limits of social reality and the stability of identity. melissandre’s work explores transformative embodiment (remember, feel, be present to, and heal our inherent wholeness*) with unusual artistic experiments.
On Sunday, the project will culminate in a group performance with artists from the PAE Aktionslabor. On all three days there will be a final gathering at the Naturfreundehaus, where there will be the opportunity to engage in an open exchange with the audience and public.
“The project seeks to create connections to our shared vulnerabilities by exploring processes that inform and question identities, roles and social expectations. The aim is to open up conversations about openness, fluidity and q***r processes. In a non-verbal way, we learn to understand each other better through performance art. We invite everyone to attend the performances and participate in the process.”
