Truly special. Last night's concert delved deep into late romantic string landscapes of Schönberg's "Verklärte Nacht" Sextett. The audience was taken on a journey. After the last notes were played the room stayed in silence before erupting into a standing ovation.

What a joy to welcome Kyoko Ogawa to our series for this weekend's concert!!
With her Piano Trio Aioi Kyoko won the 1st Prize at the ARD Competition in Munich!
Until 2021 she was part of the Karajan Academy of the Berliner Philharmoniker.
She regurlary performs at Ozawa International Chamber Music Academy Okushiga, Zermatt Music
Festival, Saito Kinen Orchestra, Sommerliche Musiktage
Hitzacker, Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Musika Bayreuth, Brahms Tage in Baden-Baden.
We can't wait to hear her on Saturday with "Verklärte Nacht" and The Sextett from Strauss' Capriccio.

The fantastic cellist Stefano Cucuzzella will be joining us for the concert this Saturday! We are exeptionally pleased to be able to welcome him to our KLANGRAUM Klassik series!
Stefano completed his studies with Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt in Weimar and now lives in Berlin. Chamber music being his greatest passion, he has performed in festivals such as Schleswig-Holstein, Verbier, Zermatt, MMCJ.
Other passions of Stefano's include carpentry, which will play a role in this week's concert, believe it or not! So you can be sure to experience an evening full of suprises 🔥
We look forward to Stefano's KLANGRAUM debut on Saturday, see you then!!

The enchanting violist Agnieszka Żyniewicz will be travelling from London next week to perform in KLANGRAUM as a returning artist. What a treat! She will play the magnificent first viola part of Schönberg's romantic masterpiece "Verklärte Nacht". Not to be missed!

Xiaoti Fuszenecker will be making her KLANGRAUM debut for the next concert!
Studies and concert tours have taken her through Europe, North America and Asia, including Singapore, USA, Spain, Germany, Italy, Norway, Japan, Korea
and Malaysia.
As an active chamber musician, she was a member of Cuarteto Oscar Esplá de Asisa which brought her for concerts to many cities in Spain.
She performs regularly with Nobuko Imai, Philippe Graffin, Eric Kim and Joseph Swensen.
She was appointed as principal violist to a tour to Korea with Indiana University Chamber Orchestra (Bloomington) and has collaborated with Joshua Bell and Jorja Fleezanis. As an active orchestra musician, Xiaoti has participated in Festivals including Verbier (Switzerland), Texas Music Festival (USA) , Great Mountains Music Festival (South
Korea), Aspen Music Festival and School (USA), Ozawa International Chamber Festival (Japan). She has performed with conductors such as Seiji Ozawa, Christoph Eschenbach, Iván Fischer and Simon Rattle. She has played with several professional orchestras such as Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra, Konzerthaus Berlin, Frankfurter Opern- und Museumsorchester, Staatsorchester Stuttgart , Singapore Symphony Orchestra.

Hans Christian Aavik will be joining us again at KLANGRAUM for a very special concert on the 19th of November: Verklärte Nacht.
We already had the privilege to welcome Hans Christian at our Festival this summer, where he mesmerised the audience will his warm tone, infectious energy and overall exquisite presence on the violin!
Winner of the 2022 Carl Nielsen International Violin Competition, Hans Christian is one of the fastest rising stars of his generation.

Jakob Krupp! The incredibly versatile and multitalented double bassist, arranger and composer is equally active in classical, contemporary music and jazz.
For this year's Festival Jakob has arranged various old classics and new compositions by Fredi Gebhardt for the ensemble performing in our closing concert!
We will have a Gypsy Jazz band onstage together with a string quartet. More info on that soon!
With the Frank Dupree Trio Jakob regularly plays concerts on Germany's most important stages, their debut-album „Nicolai Kapustin - Blueprint“ was
released in early 2022 and has drawn a lot of attention.
Welcome to the fantastic bassoonist Jinsol Kim! Jinsol will be jumping in for Rebecca Allen who is unfortunately no longer able to perform at the festival due to a broken arm. Speedy recovery to you, Bec!! 🌻
Jinsol studied the bassoon at the Seoul National University and has been studying her masters degree at the Folkwang University of Arts Essen. In 2021 she completed an orchestral academy with the Duisburg Philharmonic Orchestra. Since 2022 she is a member of Junge Deutsche Philharmonie.
We are looking forward to hearing Jinsol performing the trio for piano, oboe and bassoon by Francis Poulenc!

Diana Sahakyan! The Yerevan-born pianist will be playing an essential part in this edition of KLANGRAUM Festival. What a joy to have her with us!
Diana "delights her audience with the beauty of sound, joy of playing and technical perfection." After completing her studies at the State Conservatory in Yerevan, she continued her studies in Frankfurt under Lev Natochenny, Catherine Vickers and Oliver Kern. After a masterclass at the Summer Academy of the Mozarteum in Salzburg under Dmytri Bashkirov, she was invited to continue her studies with a prestigious scholarship at the “Escuela Superior de Mùsica Reina Sofia” in Madrid.
Diana just released her debut album "Das Jahr", character pieces by F***y Hensel under the Kaleidos record label.
She will perform in our opening concert on the 5th of August at 7pm.
The program will consist of piano chamber music by Schumann, Poulenc and Dvorak. Stay tuned for more info!
