Here’s the second video in a series I’m working on called Stories from Art, where I write and perform short monologues inspired by works of art. Writing a story from a postcard is my favorite writing prompt.

It’s a fun way to keep writing, performing, and imagining the lives behind paintings.

This painting, Fragility, is by the Italian artist Vittorio Matteo Corcos, who is known for his beautifully complex portraits of women.

The story I created is entirely fictional — just something that came to mind as I looked at the painting.

If you have a favorite work of art you’d like me to write a monologue for, let me know in the comments.

I ran into a colleague a few days ago whom I hadn’t seen since she came to my show a couple of months back. She told me it was one of the most fun nights she’d had in months, and I was deeply touched.

There’s honestly no greater compliment I could receive, because what brings me the most joy is making people laugh — bringing a little lightness into people’s hearts in this crazy, crazy world.

Have a lovely week.

Yesterday, a good friend treated me to a Tori Amos concert in Berlin. What an experience! What a performer — such amazing stage presence. I loved how she played the piano with one hand and the harpsichord with the other, all with such ease.

As a teenager, I used to listen to her a lot. I would cry and write poetry to her songs. I have to admit, I knew very few of the songs she performed at the concert, but I still thoroughly enjoyed her powerful voice, unique musical style, and, of course, a fun night out with a friend.

I also realized that I desperately need a new phone. Every time I tried to zoom in, the quality was awful. I almost asked the woman in the row in front of me — whose crystal-clear, high-resolution footage I couldn’t help but notice — if she would share her photos with me… but of course, I didn’t!

Anyway, what concert have you been to lately that inspired you? Share in the comments.

And in the meantime, have a lovely weekend.

For the second time, I’ll be performing my show in a private living room rather than on a stage — and I’m genuinely excited about it.

A few weeks ago, I met Constanze Baier, a personal coach and public speaker, at a networking event.

We had a wonderful conversation, now we're briniging together a group of friends and colleagues for a soiree in her living room at the end of May and I'm happy to say that we already have a full house.

There’s something special about performing in such an intimate setting, and I’m really looking forward to the evening.

A few weeks ago, on a writing retreat, I wrote a monologue inspired by a black-and-white postcard—you’ll see it in this video.
When I read it aloud, a friend laughed and said, “Great character work.” So I thought—why not share it?

This is the first in a series called Stories from Art. Each time, I’ll take a photo or painting, write a one-minute monologue, and bring it to life here.

Let me know what you think—and DM me photos of paintings you’d like to see as monologues.

Together with Susanne Feldt, co founder of .me an App that supports women in all stages of menopause.

At the amazing community event organized by Hermaid:

🎥 A screening of The documentary (M) Factor 2: Before The Pause (Perimenopause)

What if the symptoms you’ve been told to “push through” aren’t random or imagined — but the beginning of a profound hormonal transition no one prepared you for?

Followed by a panal with

• Susanne Feldt — Co-founder, hermaid
• Dr. Claire Gräf, MD — Founding Member, FemTech Germany
• Melanie De Jong — Health Coach & Menopause Survivor
Moderated by Elena Veljanovska (hermaid)

✨ The documentary was very well made and insightful. It tackled almost all the aspects of (peri) menopause but did not really touch on s*x or s*xuality. Which was really missing for me in the film. The panalist gave a context of menopause in the European health care system which wss fascinating.

I met some fascinating women at this event. I highly recommend the film.

Im going to checkout the Hermaid App.

I’ve seen Magdalena the Fortune Teller at several open mics around town, but this Sunday I finally caught her full show—and it did not disappoint.

In her show 0 1% Acuratee Magdalena, the "fortune teller", combines a crystal ball, questionable predictions and a healthy dose of dark humour in a show that's as absurd as it is entertaining.

Clever, witty, and very interactive, her performance is one you won’t want to miss.

Catch her next show at SaliGari Barr on April 26 at 7 PM. The show is in English.

A glimpse of yesterday before the show with Rio from — the loveliest host ✨

We had a full house and such a wonderful audience, with many new faces. More to come… but today is for chilling.

I love this venue — it’s such a cozy, intimate space. It's a hair salon, with an adjacent café and bar.

Homemade cake, cocktails, and a truly unique setup: some guests sat in salon chairs, others on vintage sofas.

’ll be performing here again in the coming months 🤍

The adrenaline rush is over and I feel like mush.
