It’s Lunar New Year 2022, we are still in the middle of a freaking pandemic and you feel a certain itch in your veins - like, it's time to fulfill your New Year's resolutions or do something with your life or get out of your insufferable home office. We gotcha, mate!

🪐Don’t miss: This Friday evening, Jan 21st, Sound Bath (in English) .zentrum

This Sound Bath Workshop marks the beginning of a series of yoga & healing arts sessions that Zeitgeist Zentrum is offering in collaboration with Swetlana Boos Swetlana | BreathworkYogaSound].

🪐A Sound Bath is a whole body deep listening experience for mental, emotional & physical detox and relaxation.
During the session you will be guided through a relaxing meditation with the sound of Crystal Tones Singing Bowls that are world-famous for their rich and soothing overtones & their alchemical healing properties.

Sound produces powerful vibrations that are able to affect every cell of our body - this is why sound healing is one of the oldest forms of healing known to mankind.

Thank you all for our successful first exhibition and opening party!

Despite all the hardships, it was a blast and we had such a wonderful time meeting all of our old and new friends. ❤️
It was also an interesting take on post-pandemic event organisation and we are somehow still hungover from last Friday.

Special thanks to .apresian, , and .xx: Without your help & support in the very last second, it wouldn't have been possible (and we might have burnt out.. for real). Shoutout to special guest & professional confidante for “hanging” in there. 😉

And of course a special round of applause for her courage & patience to our absent & sick artist who hopefully will be present & fully recovered for the finissage Saturday, Nov 13th. Save the date! And don’t miss out on the drawing workshop.

The drawings & photos will be hanging at Zeitgeist Zentrum until then and can be admired by our students & visitors daily Sun-Fri from 1pm - 10pm.

The winners of our little tombola will be announced and privately contacted shortly.

- ANNOUNCEMENT -

Due to an unfortunate turn of events, our artist and solo exhibitionist found out just yesterday evening that she tested positive for Covid-19 and therefore needs to stay in isolated quarantine for at least 10 days. Nevertheless, the event will still happen TONIGHT…!
We have decided to transform this twist of fate into a unique opportunity to turn this misfortune into a multimedia exploration of how to exhibit art in times of a global pandemic.

The artist might not be physically present, but has sent a representative who is also a close confidante and an architect/artist himself ().
Phuong, host and co-founder of Zeitgeist Zentrum, will answer all your questions concerning the artwork with Alexandra’s help (from afar).
Our beloved co-founder & barman Hung will be serving a selection of alcoholic and soft drinks.

At 8:30 pm, the artist will be live streamed onto our walls for the official opening of the exhibition and a ceremonial Zoom toast from her quarters (with a glass of sparkling wine of course).
She will then proceed to introduce herself, her projects & art and answer all of your questions.

Unfortunately, the drawing workshop will be postponed until the post-quarantine finissage in two weeks and our Vernissage will be limited to FRIDAY, Oct 29th only. We apologize to all participants who registered for the drawing workshop and hope you will still join us tonight for a wine or two.

So let’s take it with humour (but not the 3G rules) and celebrate together. 😎

Did you know?

🟡 Zeitgeist Zentrum is a self-funded business that did not raise any money from investors or family. During the long lockdown last year, we had the idea to open a community, learning & event space which enables people to innovate in topics such as education, movement & arts. Phuong even quit her job in order to give 100 percent of her performance, putting together all her resources such as expertise, experience and gut feeling into this business.

🟡 Many people think that you need to be raising a ton of money to be successful or legitimate, which is not necessarily the right path for every founder. We bootstrapped our business with savings and the physical help of some of our dearest friends while building the studio during Covid lockdown last winter.

🟡 In our opinion, bootstrapping enables small businesses like us to slowly & steadily work towards sustainable growth and long term impact since we need to learn every skill from scratch. Self-funding forced us to develop our core entrepreneurial skills - and it is still an on-going daily process of trial and error. The key to success lies in perseverance & self belief to help you sail through the toughest times.

We are looking for an engaging, creative and energetic intern to help promote and market our concept studio in Berlin, Wedding. Some crowdfunding experience & background in social media would be fantastic. This is a unique opportunity to join an innovative local business built on your experience in social media and work with a fun and innovative team.

About us:
Zeitgeist Zentrum – stylized as [ˈzʌɪtɡʌɪst] – runs an innovative concept studio for the expat community and brings together language, culture and arts in a community space set in the heart of Berlin. Made up of elements that nurture the cross-cultural exchange, learning and growth of all who gather here, Zeitgeist Zentrum is a language school/ coworking space/ event & arts space paving the way for modern day learning, working & living. Join our international family of educators, psychologists and entrepreneurs to help promote and improve the project. Also, gain a unique experience and set of skills in areas such as crowdfunding and educational entrepreneurship.

Responsibilities:
Assisting in the design and ex*****on of marketing campaigns (both via personal contacts and creating/distributing promotional material), including through social media;
Assisting in the creation of profiles on kickstarter, startnext etc.;
Making videos/photos for Social Media (TikTok, IG, FB …)
Schedule: Negotiable, but we ask for a minimum of 10 hours per week for 2-3 months.

Conditions:
This internship is paid and is dependent on the outcome of the crowdfunding campaigns. An internship does not constitute a commitment to future employment with Zeitgeist Zentrum. However, the intern can use their supervisors as references when applying for future jobs.

Now that restrictions are to be eased, we are happy to announce our very first on site courses in our cozy school! 🥳

Starting next week, we will be offering the following courses:

🌵 A1 extensive evening course part 1 - starting 14th June, Monday & Wednesday, 6:30PM - 8PM (4 units*/week) - 5 weeks total

🌵 A2 extensive morning course part 1 - starting 15th June, Tuesday & Thursday, 10:45AM - 12:15PM (4 units*/week) - 5 weeks total

🌵 B1+ Conversational Course Tuesday - starting 8th June, Tuesday 6:30PM - 8PM (2 units*/week) - 4 weeks total

🌵 B1+ Conversational Course Friday - starting 11th June, Friday 6:30PM - 8PM (2 units*/week) - 4 weeks total

Zeitgeist Zentrum is a warm and inviting multifunctional space that offers bespoke language, sports courses as well as cultural/networking events and coworking within an intimate environment.

Our studio is not only a place of learning, but a space to gather as a community and to enjoy the comforts and pleasures of all that bring us together as people– food, culture, language, arts & movement.

🐰 Hope y’all are enjoying your sunny Easter holidays! 🐰 While you bunnies are having a good rest during the holidays, our team is being productive preparing our first onsite courses for YOU - starting from May 3rd. We will offer A1, A2, B1 German courses as well as one A1 beginners Spanish course.

Class type: Extensive Evening
Class size: ~4 people
Class times: twice per week, 18:30 - 21:45 h
Levels are split into 2 parts. 20 sessions* delivered over 5 weeks | 4 sessions/week (1 session = 45min.)
Description: All the aspects of the language will be covered, such as speaking, listening, reading, writing and grammar.
Further info: The classes will take place with all the necessary hygienic measures depending on the rules that are applicable at that time.
