Thanks to reference image I was able to create a cherished drawings Over the years Legacy’s stallion charm and big mane has always been a firm favourite 🎨 🙏 The original drawing of this majestic stallion can be found hanging in an collector‘s home.

This week's throwback is Florestan, THE Florestan, sire to soooooo many exceptional horses🐴🏆. This grand stallion lived to a very respectable age of 26. Over the years I had the honour and joy of spending time with him, witnessing his presence and unrivaled character. I drew this portrait back in 2010 from a reference photo I took early one summer morning. In it, he's 24 and was still as sharp as a whip💫.

This week‘s throwback has brought this gorgeous furry friend also known as Bismarck into the spotlight. A commission from a few years ago. I remember him being so full of life and energy ⚡️that reverting to the use of very strange noises was the only way to capture his attention long enough to shoot this reference photograph. Wonderful memories 🤭🐾✏️

This drawing is a comeback and is very personal.
It has taken me years to pick up my scribble friends with the same enthusiasm and power in my belly that I had all those years ago when I first started. They helped me then just as they have now.
So it is with great pride and a deep renewed sense of focus that I signed my new drawing "The Way Back".

Signed ✍ and ready to meet the big wide world. Here is a wee photo of my newly upgraded pencil drawing "Long Rein" resting in the studio enjoying the summer shade. (I was unhappy with the way I had left it a few years ago and my pencils were itching to have a wee go at straightening things out 😊!)
Really happy with the result. Loving the depth of the muscle mass and the relaxed easy flow felt through this gorgeous equines' expression.
