#2 Post for Polymanga
This time is about thanking everyone that I know.
PHOTO #1, #2
I live alone, I craft alone, and I travel alone. I've also never been in big competitions so I was shocked to know I have two helper, Robert and Tatouille.
And they were very willing to learn, even though I did feel weird to teach people "this is how you make me look pretty on stage/in photos". You two are my great helpers and translators and I can't stress enough on how much I thank you.
Next, I will never forget to thank the Chauffeure that I knew: Guillaume, Andrea, and Panda Staff. Guillaume is the properly dressed chauffeur who started my journey to Montreux, Andrea is always smiling and having a great time driving, and Panda Staff — God bless her soul — is the panda-est staff of them all, and I hope to see you next time in your true panda form! The drivers of Polymanga did all the transporting for us, arriving at the right time and right place, like clockwork. And that's no magic. These people worked in shifts sacrificing their con time — outside of the con, just for us to have a good time.
And of course, I have to thank everyone in the PGEC rehearsal and show, including Urpicha's team, the stage, as well as the hosts. The schedule was very tight for all of us, but every one was working hard to make it as smooth as possible.
However, my favorite moment was not the competition itself, but the Q&A Panel. That was the session I've been waiting for as I've also thought a lot about Cosplay. And that's the golden chance to share the same stage with all the great cosplayers who've also been through journeys of thoughts like me. And to all who came to the panel: you've all asked very great questions, some technical, and some are inspirational, and I'm happy we've all given you our answers.
You won't know how I cried like a baby when my fellow representatives approved my brainfarts and my beliefs.
All characters you see on stage were not real. But as long as you for a second believed that they're real － we've already beaten the unbeatable.
Cosplay － is not trying to escape from reality, but to bring fragments of fantasy into our reality, solely with our will power.
