We discovered a great exhibition space – Kewenig gallery. The main exhibition right now is titled “White Black Death Gold” and shows works by E. Friedberg. This exhibition gave us an opportunity to discuss not only the death of gold in the frame of art, but also its magical birth from lead in the process called chrysopoeia, as the philosopher’s stone exists! It is however not a stone.

In the Bergstraße we visited Redwood bar, which is designed around a counter made of a huge piece of Redwood from USA, California, and drinks based on strong spirits in prohibition style. Continuing the topic of wood and alcohol connected despite the ocean between them, we discussed the whisky and bourbon barrels. Specifically, why in some regions in Kentucky bourbon gets stronger over time.

The exhibition about film architecture in Tchoban foundation engages the visitor with the topic of cinematic spaces, which are subset of real physical space, but sometimes tries to use the means of art to give the viewer an opportunity to experience spaces different from our day-to-day perception. Based on this introduction this article discussed the basics of the generalization of spaces in mathematics and shows a way to define a Hilbert space, as an equivalent to our surroundings, starting with a topological space, as a space with least restricitons.

Shorts: Hackendahl

With this post we introduce a new section – Shorts. We love to share our experiences with you. Unfortunately, it is not always possible to compile a whole article about a location, sometimes because of lack of inspiration and sometimes because of lack of time. As nightlife and cultural life in Berlin are unpredictable, we might end up at several exhibitions and/or bars in one day/night and nevertheless we would love to share our experiences with you.

The CanvasBar is a pop-up bar in the U3 station at Potsdamer Platz, which combined art exhibition and mixology under the motto – “creativity”. It was sponsored by Bombay Sapphire and curated by Martin Thibault – a Sapphire Bombay ambassador and mixologist, and Susie Kahlich – a producer and content creator. Several artists turned the underground space into a canvas and Sapphire Bombay created a bar, where all visitors could unleash their creativity! This article will be dealing with creativity and a particular chemical reaction used in the cocktail “The Milky Way”.
