Chineurs de Lyon

Hallo hallo!

I’ve been invited to record a podcast and I also did a little interview for Chineurs de Lyon.

I was supposed to play in a rave in Lyon so as I couldn’t, I recorded a podcast in the same spirit! 💣🔨

31° podcast de CDL !

Pour cette rentrée, on s'évade un peu de Lyon avec Heretix, DJ français qui vit maintenant à Berlin. Vous auriez du le retrouver à l'une de nos soirées, mais étant donné le contexte actuel l'événement n'a pas eu lieu. Il nous livre tout de même un joli set techno avec quelques exclus !

Pour mieux connaître Heretix :

1) T’es qui mec ?

Hallo Hallo ! Ich bin Justin Chevallier aka Heretix. Un petit français passionné de musiques électroniques de 28 ans qui est parti s'expatrier à Berlin depuis 2016.

2) Des projets en cours ?

Effectivement j'ai quelques projets en cours ! Je suis en train de travailler sur deux EPs en parallèle. L'un plus orienté hypnotique techno (dont vous aurez une petite preview dans mon podcast si vous êtes attentifs), et l’autre EP en préparation sera plus orienté rave/indus.
Sinon, j'ai aussi quelques projets de soirées en perspective à Paris et Berlin. N'hésitez pas à m’écrire si vous voulez plus d'infos ! 😉

3) Quelles sont tes influences ?

Niveau influence à Berlin, c'est vrai qu'on est plutôt bien servis. En ce moment les clubs qui proposent les meilleurs line up sont Berghain / Panorama Bar, ELSE et sinon Griessmuehle avec leur nouveau club qu'ils viennent tout juste d’inaugurer ! (Sans compter toutes les soirées ou clubs à moitié légaux).
Principalement mes influences musicales proviennent d'artistes qui m'ont fait vraiment kiffer avec leurs sets ou leurs productions comme Anetha, Len Faki, Jacidorex, Somewhen, DYEN...

4) Comment vois-tu l'événementiel et la culture clubbing après l'épisode pandémique actuel ?

Je pense qu'il faut savoir rester positifs malgré la situation. Certes la culture clubbing est durement impactée à l'heure actuelle et beaucoup de clubs vont sûrement devoir fermer si l'état n'intervient pas. Mais de nouveaux feront surface, laissant la place à de nouvelles associations ou collectifs. Cet été à Berlin on a pu le voir avec de nombreuses nouvelles soirées illégales et raves. Ce qui n'était pas le cas avant.
Comme on dit dans le milieu « on n'arrête pas un peuple qui danse » !

All you have to do to enter is ***share this post*** and download the stems of your choice. If you want to do any work in progress vids on here or on IG please tag the artist and the label and me.

The deadline is May 31st with winners announced 2 weeks after, please don’t submit early, take your time. To submit please email me ([email protected]) a soundcloud link with download enabled. Unfortunately I won't have the time to give feedback on every submission.

Heretix aka Justin Chevallier is a 27 years old French Techno DJ & Producer living in Berlin. He discovered electronic music in 2008 through illegal raves party, since then he got passionate for it. But once he listened to techno after a trip in Berlin in summer 2014, he really decided to start to produce techno music. And since then he spent more and more time making music to reach a point when he decided to move to berlin in October 2016. He lived for one and a half years in an artist residence where he had a music studio which allow him to learnt a lot about producing and that’s also where he started Djing. He released his first Ep ‘’Night Thrills ‘’ in 2019 on Blockchain Records and also joined Berlin based collective “MODUS” which is organizing Underground Techno party.
