Neue LP erscheint im Oktober
Pitbull erklärte in der vergangenen Woche, dass sein kommendes Album den Namen „Climate Change“ tragen wird. Das gute Stück soll am 07. Oktober auf den Markt kommen und eines kann gesagt sein: Langweilig wird beim Hören wohl nicht aufkommen.

Unter anderem kollaborierte der Musiker mit Kollegen und Kolleginnen wie Jennifer Lopez, Enrique Iglesias, Jason Derulo, Austin Mahone, Leona Lewis, Robin Thicke, Flo Rida und Kiesa.

Der Musiker gab den Titel seiner bald erscheinenden LP bekannt und droppte das Musikvideo zu „Greenlight“.

Your playlist might look like this: perhaps a sprinkling of Oro Solido merengue mixed with the romantic Mexican band Camila along with Drake and Ariana Grande.

Just like we love listening to a bilingual, bicultural playlist, songwriters and musicians are increasingly blending their heritage into their distinctive new sounds.

Take the group La Santa Cecilia. The band, based in Los Angeles, is comprised of members who grew up bilingual and bicultural, in a working-class immigrant background. They blend different genres of music such as boleros, cumbia and bossa nova and sing in Spanish and English.

Marisoul, the lead singer of the band, tells NBC News Latino she would listen to Juan Gabriel and Mariachi music in her household, then she would listen to The Beatles and Operation Ivy with friends from school, giving her a taste of two different music genres and music worlds.

“Being bicultural has definitely inspired the music that we make in La Santa Cecilia. Growing up you feel like you have this divided life. At home we would listen to traditional music and music in Spanish and at school I would listen to rock,” she says.

“In La Santa Cecilia we were able to merge these two lives together and really celebrate that we like all kinds of stuff and that we listen to English and Spanish music,” she adds. “If you listen to our band’s music, we jump from a cumbia to a bossa nova to an English song, and then to a Spanish song.”

Showcasing their bilingualism and bicultural lives has earned the Grammy-winning band scores of fans. Their hits like “Ice el Hielo,” – a play on words, since ICE also refers in the song to Immigration and Customs Enforcement – are sung in both languages with a unique blend of rhythms.

Wieder ein sehr gelungenes Album von pitbull.Wer ihn mag, wird dieser Album lieben. Vom Anfang bis zum ende sehr sehr gelungen. Ich kann es mir immer wieder anhören.

Ich kann den Vorredner nicht zustimmen. Habe die Original Hits schon eine weile ,dank Zune!!. Ich bin sehr überrascht, weil es genau auf dem Punkt kommt, wie der Titel auch schon heißt, Original Hits. Man darf nicht denken es sind Partys Song, im Gegenteil. Es sind Songs aus dem ganzen Alben davor. Man kann sagen es ist ein mini Best Off nur mit dem Songs womit er groß wurde, allein deswegen noch mal diese Zeitschiene zu erleben wie alles anfing bis jetzt, hat die Platte 5 Sterne Verdient. Der Pitbull vorher nie gehört hat, sollte niemals sagen er sei nicht Still voll. In Sachen Beats und Rap ist der Mann eine Wucht.

Pitbull, the Miami rapper who raps when he isn’t busy hawking Dr. Pepper, Bud Light, Kodak and Walmart, gave the opening address at the National Charter Schools Conference on Monday.

The raspy, 32-year-old Cuban-American was billed at the conference by his real name, Armando Christian Perez, reports The Washington Post. He wore a three-piece suit and ditched the sunglasses he typically wears. However, his shaved head was still firmly intact.

The speech was allegedly the rapper’s first-ever attempt at non-rapping public oratory.

“I know you guys might be thinking,” Pitbull told a crowd at the Washington Convention Center. “What’s Pitbull doing here?'”

Pitbull has teased his eighth album Globalization by pumping up the volume. Last spring, the Miami rapper-turned-pop sensation dropped folk-EDM-pop hybrid “Wild Wild Love” featuring G.R.L. The album’s lead Top 40 single, “Fireball” featuring John Ryan, is a Latin dance explosion. “Celebrate”, also the theme song to new animated movie Penguins of Madagascar, transforms Rare Earth’s blues-rock staple “I Just Want to Celebrate” into a vroom vroom club banger with fanfare.

Now Amazon has revealed Globalization’s tracklist – and based on the song titles, Pitbull intends to keep any party going with this album. “Talk Dirty” superstar Jason Derulo guests on a song called “Time of Our Lives.” Dancehall king Sean Paul pops up in “Sexy Beaches,” and Chris Brown appears in “Day Drinking.” Then, Globalization ends with this year’s FIFA World Cup theme song “We Are One (Ole Ola),” featuring Jennifer Lopez and Claudia Leitte.

It’s good to see Marc Anthony has something to keep him busy in the wake of his divorce from Jennifer Lopez. In fact, he’s palling around with his ex’s “On The Floor” amigo Pitbull — awkward! A new behind-the-scenes video released on Pitbull’s VEVO finds the Planet Pit resident and J-Lo’s dance partner in an arid desert location that seems to be all the rage right now (we sort of expect Demi Lovato to be emoting right off-camera).
