As part of our Residency together at through the Aqua Motion residency, we are holding our first public workshop next weekend, on Saturday, 7th March at the Rio Neiva Space in Esposende, Portugal.

If you have been curious about creative technology, all things water, join us next weekend!

We’ll walk, listen, collect memories, and explore what it means to carry the ocean inside us.

We’ll get a brief intro to and touch sensors, and see how the things we collect can hold a digital memory.

One-Day Workshop: Machine Tufting for beginners
Create a small rug or wall piece: no prior experience required!

What is the Introductory Machine Tufting in Berlin about?
Tired of staring at screens all day and craving a hands-on creative break? Already stressing about handmade Christmas gifts?

In this four-hour introductory workshop, you’ll explore the basics of machine tufting and learn how to craft a custom rug or wall hanging up to 32 cm x 32 cm. You’ll have the chance to try tufting guns, work alongside others, and choose from a wide selection of acrylic yarn colors to make a personal artwork. At the end of the session, you’ll leave behind your piece that will be finished and ready for pickup once backed.

What is included?
The workshop provides all tools and materials, including canvas, tufting machines, yarn spinners, and a wide variety of acrylic yarns. Once we apply the backing, your rug will be ready to collect within three business days.

Price: 150 euros - for one rug. You can work alone or bring a friend / family member / stranger

🪟 Our Open Window will be open soon again!

Our next window resident is Livia De Magistris.
Livia is an Italian visual author; in her work she likes to use and combine different media: from drawing to animation; from ceramic sculpture to 3d modeling.

A window on an enchanted ecosystem is an exhibition that wants to give the viewer a vision of a surreal world.
Sculptures, plants and animations intertwine creating a congruence of stimuli. It is as if the viewer through the glass had an external vision, as if it were a still image of a distant space, frozen in time, perhaps in the future, perhaps in the past.
The sculptures exist inside the showcase among plants, cloths and animations projected through projectors and/or monitors creating an environment that is both organic and digital, a sort of past and primordial future.
