Is there anything that more perfectly combines life, power and beauty than water? Like the sky full of stars, the water shows me the infinite.

In January 2018 I traveled to Colombia. Unaware of the great impact this journey should have on my future life and work. Already on the second day I visited the "Plaza Botero" in Medellin and I was more than impressed by Botero's sculptures. Three weeks later I returned to Medellin to make photographs for the realization of my idea for this nine-part work "Homage to Colombia". The subject: Botero's sculptures. No other artist connects this unique country with its wonderful people with the whole world.

Usually, it takes a bit longer for emotion and perfection to combine at a very special point during photographing. Only at this point, the result is much larger than the sum of the individual parts. To reach it means surprise, ecstasy and gratification at the same time and reveals the deep connectedness that is shown through the love of one's own actions. No moment is more satisfying than the moment when I realize that what I have created is a goddamn ARTWORK.
