Get ready for an incredible day full of Forró with teacher Felipe Liberal and DJ Márcio in Berlin!

Felipe Liberal

🕺🏽 Felipe began his Forró journey at Cia Lá na Dança in Brasília and has expanded his dance vocabulary with styles like Samba de Gafieira, Zouk, Bachata and others. His style blends the dynamic energy of Universitário with the grounded feeling of Roots, always guided by structure, technical precision and a focus on connection and movement quality.

🔥 With over five years of teaching experience, Felipe is not only an instructor but also a choreographer and passionate competitor. He has trained and performed at renowned events such as WFC Brasília, Forró Douro and PortoRoots in Portugal.

🎼 Currently teaching at Academia Lá na Dança, Felipe is known for creating classes that are inspiring and accessible to all levels. Expect strong fundamentals and clean technique, connection and flow and a fun, motivating atmosphere!

DJ Márcio

🌟 Born and bred in São Paulo’s vibrant musical hub Bixiga, Márcio’s journey as a DJ is a testament to his love for Brazilian music, particularly the soul-stirring beats of forró pé de serra. Co-founder of Rootstock Festival and a vital part of Discoteca Forró Veneno, Márcio spins more than just tracks. He crafts experiences woven with cultural richness and boundless joy.

🔍 With over two decades of experience, he’s not just a DJ, but a musical explorer. We’re super excited that additionally to his vinyl DJ set, DJ Márcio will hold a lecture on the history and evolution of records and DJ-ing in Brazil.

🪗 Join us for a special evening honoring Everton Coroné, the acclaimed multi-instrumentalist from Minas Gerais, as he celebrates 20 years of a remarkable musical journey. Recognized as one of the leading accordionists of his generation, Coroné has built an extraordinary career that bridges tradition and innovation in Brazilian music.

🥁 From his debut solo album Na Trilha do Sol, which took him on an international tour through more than 15 countries, to his latest release Certas Manhãs de Outono (2023), Coroné continues to captivate audiences with his musical versatility and emotional depth.
Throughout his career, he has collaborated with iconic Brazilian artists and groups including Trio Mossoró, Tizumba, Sergio Pererê, as well as participated in acclaimed theater productions in Brazil. His compositions have been performed and recorded by renowned ensembles like Chama Chuva, Trio Lampião, Luso Baião and Forró de Ka, and have resonated with listeners around the world.

💎 Everton Coroné will be accompanied by two of our local artists:

Igo Candeeiro – a multi-instrumentalist and walking forró encyclopedia! Deeply rooted in Brazilian musical traditions, he brings the authentic energy of Bahia straight to our dance floor with his dynamic playing.

Tau Macedo – musician, DJ, and forró teacher who has been lighting up the European forró scene. As part of Diego Oliveira’s band, he has performed with numerous artists across Brazil and Europe, always delivering powerful rhythms and infectious energy.

⭐ Atopia Forró Night with resident DJs!

🔥 For all addicted dancers coming to Berlin some days before the Miudinho Forró Festival – and of course for all of you who live here, we’re having a special night in our beloved Atopia with two of our resident DJs, DJ Tati and DJ Pedrada!

📍 Where? Atopia Kaffeehaus, Prenzlauer Allee 187, Berlin
📅 When? Wednesday, August 6th, 2025 | 20:00 – 24:00

⚡ Exceptionally, there will be no introductory class that Wednesday, but we will be back the following week!


♫ DJ Tati from 20:00 – 22:00

Starting dancing Forró in 2016 in Berlin, Tati instantly fell for the rhythms and powerful voices from the early decades. Since 2018, she curates playlists and DJs for the weekly parties of Tome Forró. Following her philosophy “DJ-ing is storytelling“, she likes to play with various rhythms and orchestrations in order to create a musical narrative.

♫ DJ Pedrada from 22:00 – 24:00

DJ Pedrada comes from Belo Horizonte and started to look deep into forró in 2014. Learning first with Rudolfo Batista and afterwards Matheus Antunes, he has had his taste for forró, both dance and music, heavily influenced by the two of them.
He has been interested in looking into discographies of different types of music since a young age, and that fit well when he started researching forró music more profoundly to improve his dancing. Over the years he developed a music taste that resembles the name he chose: Pedrada is Portuguese for “stone hit” and is also used as slang for a song that hits hard, often with high vibrant energy. The name expresses his intention: hit you with forró pesado so you don’t feel like stopping to dance!
