I really wish dating in Berlin hadn’t been this hard for us, but it forced me to realise something :D maybe the problem isn’t dating. It’s the pressure (from the city, from people, from our own heads) to perform a version of “freedom” that fits the Berlin script even when it doesn’t fit us.
That’s basically why we’re so obsessed with Mae being a non-performative safe space: real conversations, real humans, zero pretending. In the middle of all this chaos, we need rooms that feel almost meditative where you can come back to your values and actually connect.
It’s 100% okay to experiment. It’s okay to explore all the forms of expression this city offers. But do it without losing yourself. Stay connected to what’s true for you. Build boundaries you can actually stand behind.
Otherwise we end up blaming “Berlin dating” when really… we just got disconnected from ourselves. ANDDDDD CARING IS COOL NO CHALANCE IS OUT
