Digital copies of all three issues from our inaugural edition are now available on our website and free to download!

Big THANK YOU shout-out: The journal came a long way since we published these issues. Foremost our then short introduction texts became essays - more thorough and research-based - that we decided to dedicate each issue to only one author/artist! Without the help of all the artists, contributors, supporters who helped making these first issues, we could have not continued to grow and keep feeling passionate about what we do. These very first issues are close to our heart. Please visit our website for download and share the news with your friends.

We find it fascinating to learn about the different ways of how our featured artists make use of performative elements in their work. Here an excerpt from the conversation transcript: Caroline Böttcher talking about the idea of getting lost and re/de-constructing the past with the help of her two audio walk pieces. This issue was written by Mario Margani.

Copies are now also available in LA! Thanks to the successful launch event there are only a few prints left. You can support the journal project by getting one of our limited prints. The proceeds go towards writer's fee and printing our next issue. You can order on our website, Insta/FB DM, or at Kreuzberg Pavillon. We do not reprint but plan to make the texts available online for free once the prints are sold out.

We're excited to introduce you to Mario Margani who is the author of our latest Berlin issue. 🤸

Mario Margani (b. 1985 in Enna, Italy) lives and works in Berlin and Enna. As a curator, writer, and artist, Mario works in the field of exhibition-making and collaborates with artist-run project spaces as well as cultural institutions. He is the co-founder of Garage Arts Platform (a residency and project space in his hometown Enna), a member of the Berlin collective n-leben and an occasional writer for the Italian-English online platform digicult.it. His current interest lies in a discursive and fragmentary approach towards the dramaturgy of an exhibition space that he intersects with theatrical, literary and fictional elements. Through his proceeding, he seeks to question the attributes of institutionalization, authorship, commodification, and authenticity on individual and corporate scales. @ Berlin, Germany

Lecture-Performance Transcript from Friends With Books, September 21, 2019 — Hamburger Bahnhof, Berlin

Read this script by Micaela Terk who had collaborated with the TIA team as a co-editor for the latest round of publications. TIA gave a performance lecture at the Berlin Art Book Fair Friends with Books: Art Book Fair Berlin which introduced the concept and mission of our journal. Micaela's part of the presentation focused on the somatic awareness in design and digital culture as well as her perspectives on TIA - some of the topics that she explored as a designer/editor of the journal project. She also uses her publishing practice Goodbye Books to create a platform to discuss these ideas!

Thank you Savannah & Vanessa for your invitation, thank you Lara Salmon for performing with us and coming especially from Morocco to do so…

Look at us and our new black TIA totes 😎. TIA team's little excursion to @tomoffinlandfoundation was so much fun! Yesterday, @marvalarex performed and spoke about art/culture censorship here. He was also the ultimate guide and host. Thank you so much! @goldteefthief and Marval had started a series of conversations and studio visits in May of this year. We just printed TIA LA's latest issue #4 which features their conversation transcript and Virginia's essay on Marval's practice and life. @ Echo Park, CA
