The act of writing is an act of opening the door and observing what comes tumbling out. Whoever says writing doesn’t get your hands dirty has never really written.

A huge thank you to all the contributors of issue 12, DIRT, for trusting our team with their 'dirt', and bringing this issue to life.

You can read an excerpt of the latest issue via the link in our bio. If you want to read more, purchase a digital copy on our website, or contact us to get your hands on a printed copy.

Dear Berlin literary friends,

FU review is searching for a social media manager! Are you social media savvy and keen to get involved with a Berlin literary journal?

We are a volunteer run journal so this is also a volunteer role. As well as running our social media, you will have the option to get involved with other aspects of the journal. This could include helping organise events, editing texts or supporting the journal's development—depending on your time and areas of interest.

Please email us at [email protected] with a bit about yourself, your availability, relevant experience, examples (if any), and why you think you’d be a good fit for this role and our journal.
We care more about motivation than experience! So don’t be shy.

The deadline for applying is 15.08.25. Position to ideally start before September 2025.

With love, the FU Review team

“We can communicate by voice without technology, but if we want to write something, we must pick up a tool in order to make that happen.”

The FU Review invites you to a free (!) workshop on Cyborg Writing on the 26th of June at 16:00 at the JFK Institute.

We invite you to think about and experiment with the medium that you use to write, and bring attention to the tools that shape the way we communicate. By paying attention to our interactions with technology, we can use those interactions to actively reshape our own writing.

Please send us a DM if you want to join — there will be limited capacity. Would love to see you there!
