The story of trying to describe the world
Cave Painting for Kids Rooms :: A collection of dreamy mural art and prints for kids
Growing with art
Wonder and contemplation are central to our experience, whether as children or adults. Ciao Coyote seeks to introduce a world of playful imagery that children can relate to and sparks their imagination. Like comic books, dolls and fables, these pictures offer the basis for connection and deepening engagement with image and narrative.
Inspired by the prehistoric cave paintings in places like Lascaux, these large-scale art prints look to create a moving atmosphere of storytelling and magic in a room, with animals and nature that populate different parts of our big world. Each painting contains dreamy and engaging details that offer endless discoveries, building new stories and connections as kids grow.
Ciao Coyote is a brand new project created by Alisa Margolis. As a working artist, and also a mother, Alisa wanted to make art for children that they could appreciate and grow with. It comes from the notion of using art to tell children a story of the world and is part of her vision of working artists creating contemporary art specifically for kids, art to grow with and experience every day, as part of their own world.
All of the fine art prints are directly rooted in the first paintings she made for her son's nursery when he was a baby. Ciao Coyote is now a collection of 6 themes of prints loosely based on different habitats. As the project grows, Ciao Coyote will add editions for children by other contemporary artists, allowing working artists to integrate family life with their artistic practices. They can be hung alone or in conversation with each other to create a beautiful environment.
