Nukka is an albanese child. Was born during the summer trip, somewhere far on the abandoned cost in north-east part of Albania. Two women, artists and friends Marcelina & Kristin realised that from now on this is a commitment:

There is no theater!
NUKKA (from the Albanian language)its negation and reversal, it is a contradiction - denial- zeroing; it's like giving something away than taking it, it forces to facing obstacles than looking for comfort; it is an organic empty space and a "not knowing" child's mindfulness...
Its lack, emptiness, nothingness, tabula rasa, demolition, deconstruction, reversal.

When you have nothing, you can start. transparently.

Follow us and our statement. We dedicate our theatrical experiences and development specially to the body//sensuality// motion ....

Written by Jahman Davine
performed by Marcelina Bozek

Two Works on Death and Dying is an attempt to unearth the psychology and mythology that surround the theme of death. It is told in two parts: a deeply personal story of loss and an intense meditation on the afterlife. The artists invite you to join this cathartic event in the making and to celebrate with them the inevitability of loss, grief, fear, death and our will to survive.

Part 1: And Then She Departed in the Most Secret of Manners
Part 2: The Mandragora and Other Beliefs

Followed by a post-performance discussion

Instant Theater Berlin
The performance is a collective work based on the workshop system. First through the learning process, then training, and as a final stage - the creation of a small original performance.

directed by:
Marclina Bozek and Kristin Brechler

ABOUT THE PERFORMANCE
Around the age of 3, a child, for the first time, recognizes himself in the mirror. According to the psychoanalyst Jacques Lacan, this is a very traumatic moment ("Mirror stage"). This is the moment of the beginning of the EGO - the creation of our conscious identity.

But what happened before? And why don't we remember anything? Why does our memory go no further than this period? Which components create the EGO and what affects our consciousness?

The origin of archetypes, collective subconsciousness, childhood amnesia, symbolic dreams....these are the issues with which science (especially traditional medicine and psychology) still struggle and can not give any satisfying answer.
For us (as a workshop group) it is a interesting gap, a transaction that leads to a misty dimension, where there are neither good nor bad answers. Here rules loose interpretation, fantasy, and free associations. Inspired by those themes we have been working with movement, emotions, senses, voice, objects, sound, stage characters and interactions.

POSSIBLE MEMORIES 16 | 1 Performance Festival

What means today being involved in a war? We, the facilitators and participants of the performance project KRIEG, have never experienced war in our environment. We have heard about it in the stories of our gran parents, we read about it in history books in the school, we saw it in movies and videogames, we are confronted with it through the news. Even though it is happening somewhere else, war has a presence in our every day life.
During the performance project we have been looking for our personal position towards war today, we experienced a common creative process and share in this work in progress our thoughts and reflections.

NUKKA theater is an independent art collective project. A Collaboration of two women:

Marcelina Bożek - theatre instructor/pedagogue, actress, performer, cultural manager

Kristin Brechler - theatrologist, performer, acroyoga instructor, physiotherapist

Marcelina and Kristin have met in 2015 in Berlin at the physical theater training studio and have been working together since then. They perform on the stage together and run plenty of different theater workshops, classes, performance projects, trainings....

As a team they improve contact improvisation dance and elements of acrobatics. They simply share the creative development and artistic work. They collaborate with Instant Theater Berlin, Die Etage - school for performing and fine arts, Tatwerk - Performative Forschung (a theater, dance and performance studio)

Their interest as artists is to break the rules of typical dramatic theater by implementing physical theater methods to the stage work process. They also hope to expand the sensual perception as an actor in the theater space. They both strive to seek the sensitivity of our bodies, abolish our cultural habits and work from the mindfulness of the body. Simply, to focus the energy on our bodily carnality. They enjoy working with movement, music, rhythm and acrobatic gestures. Both of them practice physical theater methods, contact improvisation and contemporary dance.
