"Erika Fischer-Lichte: Performative Aesthetics and Interweaving Performance Cultures - On Theories and (their) Futures" in Cairo International Festival for Contemporary and Experimental Theatre

Erika Fischer And Her Questions About The Idea Of Identity, in the panel with Marwa Mahdy In the 24th round of Cairo International Festival For Contemporary& Experimental Theatre.

During the 24th round of the festival, the audience will be able to witness an intellectual and cultural program that includes an international panel about Erika Fischer called "The Aesthetics Of Performance and the Interweaving Of the cultures of watching”
Moreover, “Abido” panel that is coordinated and supervised by Dr. Marwa Mahdy consists two sessions in the presence of artists from Egypt, Germany, Poland and America.
The first session will be headed by Dr. Khaled Amin, the Professor at the University of Abdelmalek Saadi in Morocco, and with the participation of Marvin Carlson, the professor in Newyork University who is presenting a paper entitled “The Transfiguration Authority of the Anglo-Saxon World According to Erika Fishcer.
As well as the participation of Torsten Youst who is a staff member in the Institute of Theatre Studies in the free university of Berlin and his speech entitled “The Aesthetics of Performance and the Interweaving of the cultures of watching”
While Marwa Mahdi, the theatrical researcher and translator, and the director of the Arabic theatre Center and Cultural Exchange in Germany, delivered a speech on the definition of the performance and the problems of translating it into Arabic.
In conclusion, Dr. Samir Al-Khatib, professor of theatrical studies at Ain Shams University, concludes with a speech on "Erica Fisher-Lichthe: From Semiology to the Cultures of watching.
On the other hand, the second session will be entitled "The Interweaving of the cultures of watching", headed by Dr. Marwa Mahdi, while the speakers include Dr. Khaled Amin, who will give a speech, entitled "The controversy of theatrical cultures, the areas of communication and friction."
While Philippe Ebene, who is the director of the cultural workshops in Berlin will give a speech entitled
"The Interweaving Of Cultures Of Watching In Berlin..Examples From Real Life.” Hisham Ben Hashimi who is a theatrical researcher at the University Of Ibn Tofail Morocco, will also give a speech on “The interweaving of cultures of watching”, in addition to Matjuritsata Sogira who is the head of the department of Screening studies at the University of Yagolunya, Poland who also will givea speech enitled “Her special performance..The Language and Writing Theory.”
