“Drug trafficking is the largest global commodity in profits after the oil and arms trade, consequently, “immediately following the October 2001 invasion opium markets were restored. Opium prices spiraled. By early 2002, the domestic price of opium in Afghanistan (in dollars/kg) was almost 10 times higher than in 2000.”[15] The Anglo-American invasion of Afghanistan successfully restored the drug trade. The Guardian recently reported that, “In 2007 Afghanistan had more land growing drugs than Colombia, Bolivia and Peru combined.”

This report is about American and British involvement in the Afghan drug trade in opium, focusing on the history of such involvement, and the nature of the drug trade since the 2001 occupation of Afghanistan. Today, Afghanist

The Eye of Horus was an ancient Egyptian symbol worn for protection, imbued with regenerative and magical properties 👁

Horus was the god of the sky and kingship, and was often depicted as a falcon. This amulet is over 2,500 years old, and symbols of good fortune and prosperity have been intricately woven into its design. The right eye was also associated with the sun god Re.

We Talk Art, Creativity And Following Your Passion With Anahita Sadighi

"As an Iranian woman living in Europe, Anahita feels compelled to provide a platform for intercultural dialogue and to bring awareness to the powerful impact of female artists throughout history. Whether she’s hosting events at Anahita - Arts of Asia to showcase the works of female Persian and Arabic poets or demonstrating the knowledge and wisdom passed down by female artists through ancient weavings, Anahita is always striving to encourage visitors to her galleries to interact with non-European art and history and to explore new perspectives."

Thank you! Fizzy Mag 💙

Live from Tehran via United We Stream✌🏼🎶🔈

Join us today at 1900 (CEST) for a very special stream from Teheran United We Stream Global | Tehran - Beshknow HQ X Analog Room 🖤

"Talking of real scenes, Tehran is the city that has been pumping from the beginning of rhythm. Music is one of the main elements of Persian culture since the Sasanian Empire. Iran's Club scene started to shape in the '70s and later evolved the "Underground" Dance Music scene. Playing from the Quarantine with or without Covid-19. Here we pay respect to all the artists who took it all and shined brighter. "

The location for this particular stream is the HQ of one of Teheran's leading platforms for music Beshknow (Online Radio and Collective)."Tehran has always had an interesting art scene, and when it comes to music it's no different. Considering the limitations artists are creatives face in a country like iran, they always have to find ways to express themselves in very unique and interesting ways."

'What we are really experiencing here though brother, and I say this in all honesty, in deep sadness … We are witnessing America as a failed social experiment. What I mean by that is the history of black people for over 200 and some years has been looking at America’s failure — it’s capitalist economy could not generate and deliver in such a way that people could live lives of decency. The nation state, its criminal justice system, its legal system could not generate protection of rights and liberties.

And now our culture, of course, is so market driven, everybody for sale, everything for sale. It can’t deliver the kind of real nourishment for soul, for meaning for purpose, and so when you get this perfect storm of all these multiple failures at these different levels of the American empire, and Martin king already told us about that when I saw those pictures there in Atlanta, you could see Martin right there in Atlanta saying “I told you about militarism, I told you about poverty, I told you about materialism, and I told you about racism, in all of its forms, whatever form it takes. I told you about xenophobia.”

What we see in America is now these chickens coming home to roost, you’re reaping what you sow, and in this instance you have brother George, and it is so clear it is a lynching at the highest level, nobody can deny it and I thank God we have people in the streets. Can you imagine this kind of lynching taking place and people are indifferent, don’t care and are callous.

Now you’ve got a younger generation of all these different colors, and genders and sexual orientation saying we won’t take it any longer. But you know what is sad about it though brother, at the deepest level, it looks as though the system cannot reform itself. We’ve tried black faces in high faces.

Too often our black politicians become to accommodated to the capitalist economy and militarized nation state and market driven culture tied with celebrity culture, fame, and all that superficial stuff that means so much to so many citizens …”

"I see my galleries as vibrant places where people come together and experience art in completely new contexts," said Anahita Sadighi. The young curator from Berlin is more than just an ambassador for creativity. Take a closer look at Sadighi and it is immediately apparent that she is a cosmopolitan spokeswoman moving between cultures, generations and times. In an interview with Avoury. The Tea., this inspirational woman talked about the extraordinary idea behind her galleries, her commitment to young artists and her own highly individual view of art.
