Distraction Camp (2025) // Distraction Camp is a sculpture and an installation piece which consists of a tent imprinted with the pride flag, a white blow dryer, a black drone and approximately 15 million wooden matches, which fill the tent. The blow dryer should be plugged into an outlet via an extension cord and held in place above the tent by the drone, so that the mouth of the blow dryer is just a quarter inch above the tent, blowing hot air down onto it. The drone’s remote controller is buried at the bottom of the pile of matchsticks. The installation lasts until the drone loses power, after which, it becomes another piece entirely.

Dave, my band ‘s debut album, was released one year ago today, on September 13th, 2024. Here are some behind the scenes shots and unpublished stills:

6: recording backing vocals into two mics, including the copper mic… quite literally getting takes “in the can”, and Juanfe in the control room. You’ll never guess which recordings from the copper mic you hear on the album… hint: they sound very canned… 😎
