Our Monday office top-3 is:
We want to make apps that are unlike anything you've seen before.
Endel for Mac got updated with two major features you requested: independent volume slider and energy-saving mode.
Set a soundscape’s volume to your desired level, and don’t worry about the random noises from other apps. Try Endel as a background sound for your next Zoom meeting or as a reading soundtrack. Explore your options.
Whenever you need to save your Mac’s battery, click the red close button to shut the Endel window. This background mode unlocks the door to tray and screen saver app development for future releases.
Try the update and don't hesitate to ask us for more!
Endel has been selected by the App Store for the 'Ones to Watch' campaign across Europe.
It features eight apps that make life easier every day and bring you moments of happiness. We ourselves are happy to get the limelight and have such a good company.
Check the Story on the App Store to meet the other seven:
Learn about collection Meet Your Everyday Helpers featuring flowkey, Calorie Counter & Fasting App, Cycles: Period & Cycle Tracker, and many more on App Store. Enjoy these apps on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
Meet Scenarios: 12 short-term soundscapes for your daily activities. Coming with the latest Endel update for iOS.
We’ve asked you, our users, when you need Endel most and have engineered generative sound Scenarios for your preferred routines. Twelve options are ranging from ‘Chores’ to ‘Workout’ and include two extra Scenarios added for the lockdown period — ‘Deep Work’ and ‘Self Care’.
Swipe up on the main screen, choose one, and select the duration — to enhance your daily activities in a span of time.
Any idea what this could be?
Endel is nominated for The Webby Awards! Our app shares the Category 'Best Visual Design — Aesthetic' with Twitch, Beats, Crafted, and Sky: Children of the Light.

Good luck to all nominees!
I just voted in The Webby People's Voice Awards and checked my voter registration.

The timer is a basic yet utterly useful feature for your work or creative session.
In the latest app’s update, the countdown is shown on the main player screen. It takes just a glance to check the time left, so you’re not losing your eagle-eye-focus.
This small improvement sets the stage for a variety of smart-timer features to come up later this year — including Pomodoro and other trusted productivity techniques.
Which one would be your favorite?
Let's put a good spin on 2020 — it's a global exercise in mindfulness.
There is a flip-side of the crisis. We see how fast we are able to adapt and keep up the momentum, we make believe in the power of togetherness — even when a doorway is a border, we become aware of the connectivity of all creatures on the planet.
We sketch the outlines of the future. It does not lack the new challenges off course, but they are no-threat if we learn how to face and weather any storms with these 2020 lessons learned.
Everybody tends to miss someone now more than ever. However, self-isolation can surprisingly help us feel less lonely — or learn to do so, neuroscience proves.
Over evolution, we’ve made a habit of telling friends from foes. It’s hardwired into our brains, connections with friends, among other advantages, give us chemical rewards — help us deal with the feeling of loneliness, for instance.
But ‘friends’ are only the tip of the iceberg of our social interactions. All the other people we meet and connect with are ‘foes’. Not literally, of course, — from the perspective of the brain, we can easily live without this umpteenth water cooler small talk. Science confirms what we already know — nothing really happens in the brain when we do that.
In these interesting days of minimal social activity, we instead connect with those we love, sacrificing others. Most valuable contacts are here with us, even under quarantine. Screens are not walls; your brain knows that, too, and keeps producing the right hormones during an online date or a party.
Why be sorry about cutting some chatting, when our minds don’t care. Think about what’s happening now as a spring cleaning of your contact book — this time in real life.
Sooner or later science finds antidotes to most of the diseases that harm our body systems — what about the minds? If we borrow the language of video games, there is no easy way to calculate Health Points — yet, Mind Points (or Magic Points, as they call them) is a way more ephemeral substance. So far, experts only managed to scratch the surface of it.
While we're waiting for ibuprofens for the mind to be invented, let's do ourselves a good turn and try to maintain the balance of physical and mental wellbeing — keep from setting the former above the latter.
Whatever happens, try to do more of the things that make you feel good. Today and every day.
Have you seen the new ‘star’ icon below the soundscape selector on Endel main screen? It leads to the in-app content section where we’ll be posting updates, meaningful news, and unobvious tips on wellbeing.
Check that tab from time to time to stay current.
As our daily round gets more digital or even virtual, the social buzz coming from our computers and mobiles might sometimes be unbearable. Whenever you need your quiet moment to think (or not to think at all), Endel can be there with you.
The app works 100% offline (unlike most of us these days), as it generates the sound locally on your device. Set “Do Not Disturb” mode on and select your favorite soundscape.
We like the new Endel update and hope you will too.
There is a whole load of added features in this version of the app, which we'll be spotlighting over the next few weeks.
Before that, you are welcome to try and make your own discoveries ahead of any spoilers. Well, actually, this post already has one — as always, we've seasoned our soundscapes with new sounds and mixes so that you hear the difference with every other version.

While figuring out how to effectively work remotely, don't overlook to pick up procrastination practices — the fun side of staying productive.
It's so easy to be distracted when working from home — and there's nothing wrong (let alone strange) in that. Unless you blame yourself for 'losing grip' — please don't, we all need our time to adapt.
Wrap up your deep work session with your preferred way of unwinding at home, and them both will equally help you get the best result. Repeat as a habit.
Being a stress-reduction technology, we can’t stay aside and are doing what we can to bring feelings of safety, comfort, and togetherness to our hyperlinked world. We have decided to give Endel to as many people as possible.
Feel free to share the 1-month free subscription code STAYCHILL with family, friends, and strangers: https://code.endel.io/?code=staychill
Endel app creates a personal protective sound layer for turbulent times. Relax, Sleep, and Focus soundscapes help to unwind, recover during sleep, and focus on what you really care about.
This Friday, our wish for the future of technology would be the opportunity to share emotions remotely as easily as we post and stream thoughts today.
We want to make our caring, tenderness, and support a loud and bright signal to warm up the days of fellow human beings.
Imagine that this energy of emotions could power heaters, stoves, lights — maybe this would become one of the cures, if not for the bodies than for the troubled minds?
It’s almost effortless to break the chain of negative feelings ’infection’ around you. By being aware of them, do self-care properly, and set a good mood — that will naturally pass to others.
Emotional contagion is one of our primal instincts. Studies show that in close groups, people start to mimic breathing patterns, blinking, gestures of one another — which result in mirroring of emotions, too. No doubt, you’ve noticed that, especially when with someone you feel attached to, — the whole empathy concept centers around this ancestral feature of our humanity.
This opens a wide range of attractive opportunities. On top of being a cure, everyone seeks for; it’s the freedom to never feel lonely in a crowd again. Just smile, grimace or frown to someone and see how it’s shared — to feel the visceral connection with the world.

Endel soundscapes may play well in commercial and art spaces, waiting rooms, offices, and random territories of cooperation. This month Endel made a public debut in a pop-up store of Maapilim — men's wellness brand inspired by the concept of slow living. For their bucolic Mediterranean roof-garden recreated in a New York basement, we've designed a bespoke soundscape, complemented with subtle creaking of yachts, calm wave breaking, dream-like woodwinds and other echoes of Maapilim brand grassroots. Come experience to Nolita, or try a virtual tour:
Today Endel breaks new ground as the first Alexa Skill to use predictive mechanics, it suggests the best activities and according soundscapes throughout the day based on circadian rhythms. Once enabled, Alexa users simply say, “Alexa, start Endel” to launch the skill, and Endel’s modes can also be chosen manually via voice commands in English or German.
Endel Skill for Amazon Alexa is the most advanced addition to Endel's product ecosystem and a big step to allow the smart sound environments to adapt and follow you during the day. Free for all Alexa users, the skill can be enabled in the Alexa Skills Store through the Alexa app or here: https://www.amazon.com/Endel-GMBh/dp/B07C8FSTFP/
