Interesting fact about the artist:
MascoGA - acronym for the author's full name; Mathias Escotto Gadea. Mathías did his master’s thesis on bilateral relations between Uruguay and Mexico. Work that led him to investigate the history from the early nineteenth century of and between both countries. In this process he found that the “mascoga” were a sub-group of the indigenous community of shamans in Mexico, characterized by their ability to change their physical form into anything else at their own will. The definition of the author's acronym is prior to the discovery of said group and therefore, the author with his signature reaffirms the link with said cultural notion with “Mexico” piece.
