Last year's elle*cat on 8th of March was part of the kollektif bike fair and a collaboration between Berlin's two bike messengers collectives, Crow & Fahrwerk.
This year, we have decided to take it to another level and make the International Womxn's Struggle Day Alleycat its own independent event.
Mind the Gaps! Alleycat sets out to be a yearly event bringing people together on a night ride through the streets of Berlin to reflect on different kinds of sexism, oppressions and discriminations that create structural gaps between genders and make the struggles against patriarchal structures and gender inequality so necessary.
