Sauerei serves redefined Eastern-European bar food for the starving beer lovers of Hopfenreich. The gastro concept of the kitchen was designed by Dominika and Zsolt, the founders of 'Libatop Visionary Cuisine’, which is an experimental eat/gastro art project, that aims to find the relations between gastronomy and contemporary visual arts. Within the context of 'Sauerei' we would like to turn our research-oriented project into a beer and food pairing based bar cuisine, that both has influences from the Eastern-European bar food culture and from the current home pickling movements. We took on the difficult task of trying all of the beers so that we can offer our idea of the best beer-food pairing.

We are happy & proud to announce that from the beginning of the New Year, we will have a fully operating bar kitchen, run by the team of 'Sauerei'.

The gastro concept of the kitchen was designed by Dominika and Zsolt, the founders of 'Libatop Visionary Cuisine' http://libatopvisionarycuisine.tumblr.com/.

Sauerei hopes to create an entirely new craft beer / slow food dining experience. Their vision is that they work together with the team of Hopfenreich to use their passion for quality food and our passion for quality beer to reimagine classic Eastern-European bar food.

Sauerei: "We took on the difficult task of trying all of the beers so that we can offer our idea of the best beer-food pairing.

->>> The original starting menu on the 1st of January will be:

* Drawn Man:
Pickled sausage with onion, chili, herbs and a Weiherer Urstöffle mustard - traditionally paired with Pils

* Hermelyn:
Marinated camembert with pickled onion, garlic, paprika cream and rosemary - goes well with Bock

* The Last Date:
Quargel with pickled onion, garlic, green chili and sage in Crew Republic Amber Ale marinade. - It is a match with Ale

* Portobello Carpaccio:
Marinated Portobello mushroom with Camba Bavaria IPA pickled pickled onion and fennel - Pairs well with IPA
