A few rehearsal photos by Ibra Wane of our new production 'Touch Me - Samantha & the Fox', which opens next week on Thursday 7th November.
Since a little while we have been developing a new adventure, 'The Ballery Ensemble' which is a collective of musicians and performers whom together develop works that combine performance and visual arts in its own way.
'Touch Me - Samantha and the Fox' which is a performance piece inspired by the fall of the Berlin wall which uses the fox as a metaphor for the keeper of the kept secrets of the destroyed stories, the escaped dreams.
This first production is lead by outstanding performance artists Samantha Weppelmann Petersen, Mikey Woodbridge & Dame Leyla with live music arranged and performed by Chris Lian-Lloyd (piano), Angela Zamorano Tardón (cello) & Spencer Schaefer (french horn).
Helena Sitz will read and perform the poem 'The Vixen' by W.S. Merwin (1927–2019).
The performance responds to a stunning collection of art works by former East Berlin photographer Andreas Fux and the creator of the photo series 'Humpelfuchs' (limping fox) Bastian Thiery.
Tickets are 20€ and are limited to an audience of 40 people and those who attend will get a first glimpse of the artworks before they are shown to the general public on November 9th. The money from the tickets goes to the artists.
