Birds of a feather flock together: so it was probably in the hands of fate and destiny that the journeys of the two Berlin-based musicians Sven Swade and Chris Lustig should cross as well. The two longtime friends combine their deep roots in electronic music with their passion for music production to form the house duo we:two. Their electronic soundscape of lo-fi vocals, dreamy synths and gently d
rifting basslines takes us on a melodic four-to-the-floor deep-house journey. Growing up as children of the 90s amidst the golden age of house & techno in Berlin, they both discovered their love for this special kind of music at a rather young age. After being behind the turntables of the capital for more than a decade, their next proof of love for electronic music
is now followed by their own productions. we:two give us a glimpse into their musical suitcase with their first EP Joie de vivre it contains sounds to listen to at home as well as to spend hours dancing in the club. Electronic music, which guides us through all emotional states and days, let us drift away while daydreaming; about open airs, warm summer days, and sweaty club nights. Artistbio we:two (Deu.) Gleich und gleich gesellt sich gern: so lag es wohl in der Gunst des Schicksals, dass sich auch die Wege der beiden Berliner Sven Swade und Chris Lustig kreuzen sollten. Als House-Duo we:two verbinden die zwei langjährigen Freunde ihre tiefen Wurzeln zur elektronischen Musik mit der Leidenschaft zum gemeinsamen Produzieren. Auf ihrem elektronischen Klangteppich aus Lo-fi-Vocals, verträumten Synthies und sanft treibenden Basslines laden sie uns auf ihre melodische Deep House Reise im 4/4-Takt ein. Die Liebe zum House haben Chris und Sven schon in ihren jungen Jahren für sich entdeckt. Großgeworden sind sie als Kinder der 90er schließlich inmitten der Blütezeit von House & Techno in Berlin. Ein Zeitgeist, der die beiden mit Nachhall geprägt hat. Nachdem sie selbst schon über eine Dekade lang hinter den Plattentellern der Hauptstadt stehen, folgt ihr nächster Liebesbeweis an die elektronische Musik nun eben mit den eigenen Produktionen. Mit ihrer ersten EP (Joie de vivre) zeigen we:two, dass sie für uns sowohl Sounds zum Lauschen im heimischen Wohnzimmer, als auch zum stundenlangen Tanzen im Club in ihrem musikalischen Koffer parat haben. Elektronische Musik, die uns in sämtlichen Gefühlslagen und allen Tagen begleiten kann, die uns wegdriften und tagträumen lässt; über Open Airs, warme Sommertage und verschwitzte Clubnächte. Musik, die uns mit ihrer Unbeschwertheit an die Leichtigkeit des eigenen Seins erinnert – und uns dabei immer wieder aufs Neue überrascht. Musik für dich und für mich. Musik für uns.
