I wanted the structures to emulate heavy breathing. Layers of animal growls and concrete give presence to the space. Rich beamers blasting in the distance, recordings of doors shutting and dragging chairs wet with reverb. Creates a strong horn call. Simple trick that gives it that 🔥
For ambiance I used pink noise with a band-pass filter. Freq range between 500-1Khz. Slap on a chorus with lots of reverb. Sounds like distant whispers.
A frequency shifter with widening stereo field brings us to the shiny climax.

Sympatheia is an multidisciplinary project that aims at exploring common inner struggles and emotions, which all humans share but are not expressed by many of us in our daily lives.
This piece is the abstract representation of the internal space we tend to run away when we feel ourselves pressured everyday by society. Sometimes our minds end up surrounded by stress, pressures of how we should live our lives, what do we need to do, how we need to act, how we should dress, eat and behave. And when we are not able to emancipate from this, we might end up in this space of sadness, insecurities, confusion and live their lives projecting themselves from this space.
