Meet @quyny _ -Le Quyen Nguyen is a Berlin based photographer. Her work focuses on portraiture, fashion and street photography. She loves going to places she’s never been before. Nothing beats the excitement of seeing a place for the very first time. There can be a strange beauty to even the most ordinary of moments. Having her camera with her doesn’t just let her capture those encounters, it helps her remember them #IPFB

Meet @merveilleux12 - Merve Terzi, born in 1988 in Istanbul, lives and works in Berlin. #Ipfb

Throughout her projects, Merve deals with the idea of time, identity and authenticity shown through different perspectives. She questions who we are and what shapes us. Her aim is to discover what is beyond the surface of the visible – to figure out how identity is being constructed and shaped by our fragmented memories and how it manifests itself in a particular moment of expression. Photography gives her the possibility to capture these authentic moments in between that reveals our self.
Friends and family, people and things that surround her in her daily life, are the source of inspiration and often subject of her work. She collects their stories in order to complete her own.
Merve studied Art History in Freiburg, London, and Berlin (2008-14); she recently graduated in Photography from BTK – Faculty for Art & Design in Berlin. As a member of FK-Kollektiv, she is also involved in curatorial work and book making processes.

✨We are excited to announce that Elisabeth Eichler, otherwise known as Bob Jones Berlin will be joining our event. Join us on Sunday to have your portrait taken on film and watch it develop and print, ready to take home, live on the spot. ✨

Meet @bobjones.berlin ELISABETH EICHLER is a Berlin-based artist, translator and writer. Since 2016, she has been traveling around with her self-built wooden large format camera for a longterm portrait project. In a world of hyperdigitalization they cherish the tangible.
Bob Jones is an entity that auto-portraits your self. Built from found wood, it seeks to find stillness in consumptive moments. A meditative yet spontaneous photographic act is followed by instant materialization, producing an allegory of the surroundings through self-reflection. The sturdy presence of the camera apparatus and the performative act of the photographer create a ritualistic, contemplative energy that manifests itself in a portrait that cannot possibly be reproduced.

Meet @Youvalle Levy (b.1991) as well as co-founding #Replika and Co founder of #IPFB has studied both photography and Architecture in Berlin. She is interested in documenting spaces and abstractions and creating abstractions defined within architectural space. Through various mediums the relationship between documenting, creating and archiving is paramount in her artistic work. However, architecture remains the ground stone on which Youvalle deals with creating spaces specifically for art and artists within the capacity of curator. Her work explores the basic need for art to exist in a space, and how to construct a physical space which fulfils this need.

Replika co-founder, Freya Copeland (b.1990), is an artist and curator primarily Interested in archival systems, documents and evidential photography. Her work explores the boundaries between institutional systems and personal narratives, constantly drawing from any transitory written or printed matter not intended to be retained or preserved. Through media such as police evidence and pictorial encyclopedia, she demonstrates her predisposition to singling out the inherent limitations of the photographic medium and uses these restrictions as a vehicle for exploring personal narratives.

Next artist we are proud to host in the next #IPFB is @Jeremy Philip Knowles! - Recent graduate Jeremy Philip Knowles is a British lens-based artist. He holds a degree in Fine Art Photography from Camberwell College of Art (University of the Arts London). Since 2016 Jeremy has been based in Berlin, where his practice has developed into a playful photographic study of urbanism and the everyday. Jeremy’s images draw patterns and humor from the randomness and repetitive non-events that characterize the mundane within our lives – the overlooked and often unnoticed aspects of our existence that make us human. By bringing greater prominence and visibility to the accidental, the miraculous and the comical, we are challenged by Jeremy’s photo series to reconsider the weight of our daily interactions with things and people, and meditate on what happens when we think nothing is happening. Jeremy exhibits regularly between London and Berlin. In 2018 he was shortlisted for BLOOOM Award. This year he was selected for IN//BETWEEN #4 - a collaborative residency in Berlin organised by Kulturschöpfer
