It is thought-provoking when #imiknoebel, the grand seigneur of radically non-objective art, calls one of the current and perhaps most beautiful series in his Oeuvre #animamundi, a philosophical term that is one of the central concepts of western metaphysics. One may see in this play and coincidence of a mere title, from which little meaning can be taken and which literally remains on the surface. Therefore it is better to leave oneself entirely to the contemplation of these images and fall into the cosmos of a non-objective thinking.

Memory as a process of transformation in visual arty: for his latest cycle, THE INVERSION OF MEMORY, almost 30 large-format paintings have since been produced, which have recently been supplemented by „fragments“ in a smaller format. Thus, the cycle does not represent a complete group of works, but rather encompasses momentary snapshots of an ongoing, profound investigation in the course of which the artist is now attempting to gradually draw closer to pinpointing the true essence of memory.
