LEMON PEPPER The new record, “Culberson County”, is NOW AVAILABLE at all digital retailers and everywhere you stream.

Red Shahan has covered a hell of a lot of ground in the three years since the release of his debut, Men and Coyotes. The red-headed troubadour with the lonesome howl and penchant for somber portraits of busted boom towns and gritty, white-knuckled anthems has built a loyal audience the old-fashioned way: organically, from the ground up. His new album Culberson County (Thirty Tigers) is proudly rooted heart, mind, and soul in the West Texas earth from which he sprang. And yes, he’s still got a thing for coyotes, hearing in their wild cries not just the music of wide open spaces, but a defiant note of stubborn resiliency that speaks to his own instincts as a hardscrabble independent artist compelled to write about the all-too-often unsung — and unseen.

The response to the record has been nothing short of amazing and I wanna say a big ole thank you to everyone that has called, texted, posted, shared, and all the other inter-web ways of showing love. I don’t take for granted the folks that have been in my corner from day one and I’m certainly grateful for all the newcomers in tow! Life is a wildly attractive adventure. Big ole bear hugs to y’all. Cheers

The feeling never changes when releasing records. The excitement of sharing them, the camaraderie of the band, the texts and calls from family and friends, and the one moment in our career when we get to say, “Here it is. This is us.”

I usually lean into the smart-ass side of me, but all jokes aside, I’m incredibly grateful for all the hard work from the band, Josh Serrato, Carley du Menil, my management, and the patience my wife and family have shown throughout this project.

You won’t find a happier Red today.

I hope y’all find some time today or this weekend to give it a listen. “Hard Land” is now yours. Cheers!

I’ve watched Brandon Adams play this song countless times over nearly 20 years and I’ve always wanted to do my own version of it. “Can’t See Heaven” is out now and if you see Brandon buy him a b**r and kiss his cheek for writing such a great tune.

Also, just reminding y’all I’ve got an album coming pretty soon too.

I’ve been a lot of places in this world and there’s a lot of beauty out there but I always find myself gravitating back to the areas where people have to work the hardest to exist.

My 5th studio album “Hard Land” releases on August 7th and my third single from the record “Welcome To Country Hell” is all yours this Friday, 6/19. Pre-save link in my bio. Much love, Red.
