ℹ️ Here are some basic information about our project:

🔹We are creating a platform for international cooperation in scientific research on the history and culture of the region of Central Eastern Europe. The series of international conferences is organised by the Department of History at Masaryk University in cooperation with the Institute of History at Jagiellonian University.

🔹The idea of commemorating the life and work of Masaryk University professor Josef Macůrek (1901-1992), founder of Eastern studies in Brno (Czechia), by naming the series of international conferences after him, was realized in 2023.

🔹Each colloquium is focused on a different theme. The first international conference was organised in 2023, sharing the researches on fear in cross-cultural relations.
