There are experiences that truly change lives. For 21 young participants, the Erasmus+ mobility in Paphos, Cyprus was one of them.
The project’s main activity was an Erasmus+ VET mobility, hosted in Cyprus by OPEI – Organisation for Promotion of European Issues and mentored by COSTAS ARISTODEMOU TEXTILES LTD, which took place between March 30 and April 17, 2026.
The project is funded by the European Commission through the Erasmus+ Programme (No. 2025-1-RO01-KA121-VET-000315006). The organisation holds a KA120 accreditation, motivating continuous work towards ambitious goals.
For three weeks, participants stepped out of their routine and comfort zone. They arrived in a new place, met new people, and most importantly, discovered that they are capable.
They learned how to work in a tailoring workshop, to create products with their own hands, and to be attentive, responsible, and proud of their work. Beyond technical skills, they developed self-confidence, communication abilities, teamwork, independence, and resilience.
They left with emotions and uncertainty. They returned with greater courage, stronger autonomy, and a renewed sense of belonging.
This project was not only about professional training, which was excellent. It was also about the chance for a better life. It represents real inclusion. It represents dignity.
These opportunities continue to be created because every person deserves a chance. And we have seen it clearly: when people are supported, they can achieve more than they believe.
