O FilmLab Cabo Verde é um laboratório intensivo de desenvolvimento de projetos cinematográficos promovido pela Redecinemapaloptl REDE de Cinema e Audiovisual PALOP + TL, em colaboração com o KAFF - Kafuka Afrikan Film Festival.
Serão selecionadas até 6 candidaturas.

O FilmLab Cabo Verde pretende:
- Desenvolver talentos emergentes do espaço PALOP+TL;
- Reforçar a qualidade artística e a viabilidade dos projetos;
- Criar pontes entre criadores e a indústria internacional;
- Promover uma prática cinematográfica ética, inclusiva e sustentável;
- Valorizar vozes diversas, com especial atenção para mulheres e pessoas não-binárias.

Podem candidatar-se:
Realizador@s entre os 18 e os 35 anos;
Nacionais de países PALOP e Timor-Leste;
Residentes na ilha de Santiago (ou com recursos garantidos de viagem);
Com experiência comprovada ou forte envolvimento no setor audiovisual.

The Call for Entries for the 2nd edition of the Kafuka African Film Festival is officially open!
Following the success of our first edition, we return to Praia, Cabo Verde, from October 15 to 18, 2026, to celebrate the excellence and diversity of the african cinema.

WHO CAN SUBMIT?
We invite all African filmmakers, from the continent, the islands, or the diaspora, to share their vision. We are looking for works that tell African stories with authenticity and rigor:
• Genres: Fiction, Documentary & Children Animation
• Format: Short and Feature films
• Criteria: Films released from January 2024 onwards

IMPORTANT DATES:
• Submission Period: May 15 to July 15, 2026
• Festival Dates: October 15 to 18, 2026
