▪️La serie “Ciudades etéreas” de Giselle Lucía se construye a partir del tensado de lana y el bordado sobre bastidor, explorando las posibilidades del textil. Cada obra presenta escenas aisladas o encadenadas entre sí, en las que los personajes han sido suprimidos para dar protagonismo al paisaje y a los objetos.

▫️The Cuban Art Hub introduces Airel Suárez , a Cuban multidisciplinary artist trained at the San Alejandro Academy of Fine Arts and currently studying at the University of the Arts (ISA). His practice spans photography, painting, printmaking, installation, and drawing, shaping a visual language grounded in research, memory, and a critical reading of social and cultural contexts.

Suárez’s work engages with history and collective imaginaries, exploring the mechanisms of perception and the values that shape contemporary experience. He has participated in solo and group exhibitions in Cuba and abroad, and his work has been recognized by platforms dedicated to emerging Cuban art.

▪️The Cuban Art Hub presenta a Airel Suárez , artista multidisciplinar cubano formado en la Academia de Bellas Artes San Alejandro y actualmente estudiante de la Universidad de las Artes (ISA). Su práctica abarca la fotografía, pintura, grabado, instalación y dibujo, articulando un lenguaje visual que combina investigación, memoria y una lectura crítica del entorno social y cultural.

Suárez desarrolla una obra que dialoga con la historia y los imaginarios colectivos, explorando los mecanismos de la percepción y los valores que configuran la experiencia contemporánea. Ha participado en exposiciones personales y colectivas dentro y fuera de Cuba, y su trabajo ha sido reconocido en plataformas dedicadas al arte emergente.

Migration begins with a memory of home—an image of what was left behind and the longing to build something new, a place where one can grow and belong. Along the way, makeshift shelters emerge: a tent, a sheet of plastic, a clearing carved out of necessity. These fragile spaces, shaped by the land itself, imprint on the migrant’s memory as fleeting homes—temporary sanctuaries that blur the line between refuge and aspiration.

Through painting, I seek to give form to these remembered fragments. My work is not merely a personal narrative or a formal search for place, but a contribution to a shared imaginary—one that connects the migrant, the artist as interpreter, and the viewer in a collective act of reimagining what home can mean.

De la serie Horizontes Robados

En los procesos migratorios, el migrante parte con una imagen del hogar que deja atrás y anhela construir uno nuevo que le permita desarrollarse. En las pausas del camino surgen refugios precarios —una carpa, un nylon, un claro improvisado— que, junto al paisaje que los contiene, se fijan en la memoria como hogares transitorios. En estos espacios se activa una relación compleja entre el individuo, el territorio y la idea de hogar como abrigo momentáneo y como horizonte.

Mi interés es dar sentido a esas imágenes de la memoria, construyendo en el lienzo un lugar que nace del registro de vivencias compartidas. No se trata solo de narrar mi viaje ni de buscar un sitio desde lo formal, sino de aportar algo propio a la creación de un imaginario común entre el migrante, el intérprete (artista) y el espectador.

Post Data draws from the origins of the term itself—those handwritten or typewritten messages where edits were impossible and memory became part of the medium. The series reflects on what is said and unsaid, remembered and forgotten, overlooked by accident or design. Each work acts as an anonymous voice, a quiet observer reading between the lines, bearing witness to what lingers in the margins.

Post data es una serie que subyace en los orígenes del término. Tradicionalmente, los mensajes eran escritos a mano o con máquinas de escribir, lo que hacía difícil o imposible la modificación del texto, de ahí que la memoria sea inherente a su existencia. La relación de lo que fue comunicado o dejado de comunicar, lo que fue revelado u olvidado, aquello que se pasó por alto intencional o accidentalmente. Una serie que pretende ser una voz intrusa, anónima, una observación que escarba entre líneas para convertirse en espectadora y cronista.

▪️Omar Anthony Rodríguez is part of The Cuban Art Hub’s roster. ▪️The Cuban Art Hub oficialmente forma parte de la New Art Dealers Alliance (NADA) Miami en su 23ª edición que se desarrollará del 2-6 de diciembre en Ice Palace Studios , con la obra de la artista cubana Gabriela Pez.

La pintura de Gabriela Pez se articula desde una sensibilidad ritual que vincula el cuerpo con la tierra, las plantas y sus ciclos vitales. A través de una estética que conjuga racialidad, espiritualidad y memoria, su obra propone una relectura humanista de la identidad, donde lo femenino y lo ancestral se entrelazan como territorios de resistencia y sanación.

▫️ Giselle Lucía Navarro es una artista multidisciplinar, escritora y diseñadora. En su creación, palabra y prácticas de confección textil confluyen para desempolvar, en un acto de reconocimiento, narrativas personales y colectivas. Obras bidimensionales, instalativas, videoarte y escultura blanda exploran la resignificación de lo familiar, lo político y lo doméstico.

🧶 Recientemente fue inaugurada su exposición personal “Ensoñaciones del reposo” en el Centro Hispanoamericano de Cultura.
