Começando a semana com a beleza e os sorrisos da com seu .se à postos.

Eu garimpei essa estampa no Chateau Rouge em Paris em 2017. Cruzamos para Salvador e depois para o Rio de Janeiro, para um workshop muito especial na Casa Ipanema. Desde então, há 7 anos, esse turbante recebeu um novo lar com a Aline.

Get ready!! This Friday (23rd) I’m presenting a new work which is the contact performance ‘Aw, Look At You Gorgeous!’.

After exchanging your scarf with me, you’re invited to sit in front of me by a dressing table with no mirror, and copy or be copied throughout the self-adornment process with the textile.

How can we trust the unknown and share subjective notions of identity, culture, time, and appreciation for the other through the self?

This is a free event, booking required through the link in bio. Don't forget to bring a scarf to swap with me ;)

We are back to celebrate the 10th anniversary of on September 3rd and we want to invite you to join us.

Brazil Day Dublin is a cultural festival of Brazilian music, dance, food, drink, talks, arts & crafts and community activities in Ireland 🇮🇪

We’ll have a tutorial session to share with you some headwraps & clothing styles. I’ll also share a bit about the history of Turbante-se as a platform for art, history and culture through affective memories, textiles & aesthetics.

The festival ticket gives you access to this session. The headwraps will be available for purchase and you’re also invited to bring your own scarf.

Workshop alert 🚨Meet me in co. Clare, this Saturday 23rd July, from 2-4 pm for a trip in history through turbans & headwraps in the Afro-Atlantic diaspora.

The Turbante-se workshop is a lively and engaging experience that starts with a lecture where we explore the complex history of the turbans and headwraps in the Afro-Atlantic diaspora, from ancient to contemporary times. Highlighting the meanings of this symbol and discussing aesthetics, politics, art, and empowerment, you will discover many characters and references part of this universe, and the practical ways of tying some different styles of headwraps.
