Congratulations to all awarded films!

This year, more than 200 films applied for The Unforeseen Internation Experimental Film Festival. Selectors Dragan Dimčić and Adam Ranđelović carefully chose 18 films wanting to make an as diverse selection as they could.
Out of these films, the jury, composed of representatives of the contemporary art scene Manja Ristić, Ivana Rajić and Luka Beslagic gave Grand Prix and Special Mention.
The audience also had a chance to vote for their favorite film in the competition program.

”With an extremely important and present political message, film, through the dramatization archeology of media, shows us the deep roots of neoliberal exploitation. ”Searching persists through the day into the night - it never stops, only changes its surrounding.
An invisible yet ever - present camera motions through the city capturing its everyday life. The foundation of the film is shaped through the contrasting of picture and sound, which creates an unsettling
atmosphere of an unnamed place. The viewers are left with identifying the camera itself as the title
character, which throughout its constant loop of movement and pause creates an endless cycle.”

We are excited to announce the jury of the 4th International Experimental Film Festival “The Unforeseen“ that consists of three members. One of them is Manja Ristić (sound artist and violinist).

Manja Ristić was born in Belgrade in 1979. She is a violinist, sound artists, curator and researcher mostly active in the field of electro - acoustics, instrumental improvisation & experimental sound related arts. Manja graduated at the Belgrade Music Academy, then gained PGDip at the Royal College of Music, London. Her work is blending exploration of synesthesia, intuitive composition and sound ecology.

We are excited to announce the jury of the 4th International Experimental Film Festival “The Unforeseen“ that consists of three members. One of them is Luka Bešlagić (art and media theorist).

Luka Bešlagić (1985) is an art and media theorist and writer currently engaged as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Media and Communications in Belgrade. His field of interest encompasses inter - and transdisciplinary theories of art, literature, and media, with special emphasis on experimental textual practices and experimental film. Aside of the articles and literary texts published in journals such as AM: Journal of Art and Media Studies, Philological Studies, ProFemina, Agon, Proletter, he also wrote theoretical/prose poly-genre text Dva govora romana (Utopia, Belgrade, 2012). His theoretical study Teorije eksperimentalne tekstualne produkcije (FMK, Belgrade, 2017) received an award for contribution to the innovative educational practice. Occasionally he conducts lecture performances.

Born in Pančevo, finished Camera studies at Faculty of Dramatic arts. Won a prize for innovative approach to film photography in 2016. Picture in Motion festival by Serbian Society of Cinematographers (SAS) and Yugoslav Film Archive. Working in the fields of photography and video. Currently contemplating, watching and listening. Experimental enthusiast.
