Chabuta IPC is pleased to finish 15th out of 24 teams at the Shanghai International Chinese Dragon Boat Invitational Tournament. This is a challenging race, with teams coming in USA, Germany, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Hong Kong, Taiwan and various cities in China. We are happy to demonstrate our potential as a very young crew that has been around for less than 4 months, and look forward to coming back to this race again next year. CIPC finished a close group second in the 500m heat, but made it up by finishing group first at the repecharge. Semi-final group was a tough one against two great Taiwan teams that eventually finished top 4. The 3000m race concluded the busy morning of dragon boat racing for CIPC. Great organization, and everyone had a great time both at the race, and at the post-race party. Thank you, crew, for taking a day off work/school and hanging out all weekend!
